I and thousands of others have had the same problem. My remote is about a year and a half old. Take out the battery and leave the battery out for a good two hours. There are capaciters in the remote that hold a charge for a long time so it is important to leave it out for this period of time. Then put the battery back in (at this point your screen will probably be visible again), connect it to the computer, and re-sync the remote with the configuration stored on your computer. The screen will come back on some 890 remotes after this. Mine did but only for a short period and now its back to just showing a blank blue screen. At the end of the day Logitech uses substandard components in an effort to generate service repair revenue or get you to buy the latest and greatest of their product. Shameful but likely profitable for them.

Ok, just say another post on this site about the same issue: http://www.fixya.com/support/t227628-lcd.... Mine is out of warranty so I took mine apart like the guy suggested, and walla the screen is back. I'll report back if it stays this way for a while.

Note once you get the two obvious screws on the outside of the unit off you'll need a very thin screw driver to wedge between the two pieces of plastic to get it apart. There are four hidden tabs on each side of the remote that hold the two half’s together. If you use a bright light you can see them though. Just position the screw driver on top of each tab and push and with your finger nails pull the two pieces apart until it that tab pops away from the lower half. Do this for each hidden tab and then you can fully open the unit.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

We had a power outage and since my tv does nothing, a tiny red light says standby but nothing changes.

Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

LG LED TV has sound but no picture. Went out all of a sudden. Image shows with flashlight. Flashes for split second on power up and power down.

Your screens back light has most likely failed and or the voltage controller for the back light, both should be replaced.

Black screen, green light on the bottom is on, electric plug is on house plug, no picture, was working fine last night, now only black screen!

Do a hard reset to this set, and then check. If it do not help you, check and replace its main digital board. It will be faulty.
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.
