Guitar Hero III: Wireless Les Paul - screwy star power

This usually occurs when you are not holding the guitar level (The handle is upwards). If you wish to only have the star power activate when you initiate it, you should make sure the guitar is level while you are playing so you can tilt it to activate the star power. Alternatively, you can press the back button to active the star power (if you are holding the guitar properly, you can activate it by pressing down on the guitar with your wrist).

I need a wireless receiver for guitar hero III, legends of rock

You can use any of the Guitar Hero Wireless guitars. The best I think is the one that is bundled with the World Tour version, has a smoother action (retails around £44.99 but check bundle costs first).
It has slider bar that isnt used in Guitar Hero 3, but will be better if you decide any of the future releases of guitar hero coming out later in year.
Hope that helps?

Lights flashing on guitar and usb

If you are using the Fender Stratocaster Rock Band Guitar:

1) Ensure you have fresh batteries in the Wireless Guitar
2) Insert receiver into USB hub
3) Turn on Guitar via switch on back.
4) If both the guitar and the USB receiver is flashing blue, then press the guitar logo button until flashing blue light on the receiver stops flashing.

Note that on Rock Band 1, non-Rock Band guitars (ie: Guitar Hero and Wiimote based guitars) generally don't work.

Good luck!

Guitar hero and rock band

Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments are NOT compatible on the Wii. They are compatible on the 360, the PS3, and the RB drums for PS2. Activision went their own way with the Wii and made life difficult for all of the aspiring musicians on the Wii. Sorry.

Syncing with Rock Band.

From Harmonix spokesperson: "Support for the GHIII guitar peripherals in Rock Band on the Wii was not possible without Activision's permission. Therefore, any questions regarding lack of compatibility with GH III hardware should be directed to Activision."

Sorry to hear.
