    i have a problem with my ram memory i can't upgrade it I put a ddr memory 1gb and it doesen't reconise it i bealive i need a bios update but i can't find it on the net

I have an IBM Netvista A30p that I am trying to upgrade the memory in. It currently has 640mb and I am trying to go to 2GB. I have 2 1GB dimms to install but it will not boot with them. It will not boot...



are the modules of the same brand and type
make sure the sockets and ram modules are dust and corrosion free and are securely seated

you might swap each module over then reboot one might be faulty

    no jumper just touchy mobo on ram u buy u have to buy ram off ebayt samsung low denstity 64x64 chip config ok like i did and it workeed mark this as fixed ya so others can get same help thx nick
