Re: my laptop screen is flickering
That could be ths connector that connect the LCD to the Motherboard in the laptop. Ive seen something similiar wherein i took down the screen, cleaned up the connectors and it worked like new...... for a few weeks then it went back and started he flickering again. We finally fixed the problem by replacing the screen. Apparently the connector behind the screen was giving trouble.
Have someone check the cable from your LCD to the board but I think you might need to fix the connector or replace the LCD screen.

Yes, the probability is that either the circuitry that drives the screen, or the screen itself is on the verge of failing. It is also remotely possible that the backlight is failing. In either case, the likelihood is that a screen replacement is in order. Take it to a computer shop that specializes in Laptop repairs - or call Computer Geeks.
That really depends on when it flickers, does it flicker when you move the display open or closed or when you press some part of the laptop?
If it happens when you press a part of the laptop, the display cable could be loose, thats unlikely.
I recently had a similiar problem with a toshiba laptop, the screen would flicker when pressed on the bottom left side of the laptop.
I checked the wires and they where fine, in the end I seem to have fixed the issue by pressing on the top cover where the issue happens and at the same time from the bottom from the same spot, what I did on that laptop, there was a cover that I could remove so I could press directly on the mainboard, pressing directly on the mainboard with my fingers and at the same time pressing down from the top seem to have fixed the problem on that laptop.
