1 Answer

My Dell inspiron 1525 laptop won't let me log in

My laptop will turn on, but only to send me to two options ( start windows normally and something about finding the problem). But it will not let me log in at all. It all start when I brought my laptop on a roadtrip form oklahoma to arkansas, my laptop was working very slowly and would not connect to the internet, but then after a couple of days it began to connect to the computer, but it still worked very very slowly to point it would freeze multiple times. So I restarted my laptop multiple times to fix it from working so slowy and now it won't let me log in at all. I don't know what else to do and I don't how this could of happen, I don't see what's wrong with my laptop.

Sounds like you should just use the rescue cd format and reinstall windows.
Theres a couple reasons why it would come up with those errors.
1 is a virus like a worm that would fill up your harddrive with nonsense basically so much data that it will slow your computer down to a complete standstill.
2 is that you might have installed some software that conflicted with other programs while loading it continued to have errors and that's why it asked you to check for problems.
Once you format it and reinstall windows that should rectify your problem.

Sorry I should elaborate on the loading deal.

When windows startup it will run certain programs that are defualt or when programs installed that need to run at startup.

Well you can purchase a rescue cd from the manufacturer or if you already have one just put it in your cdrom and then turn on the power.

It should autorun and start the install proccess.

Headsup though if you do this you lose all data on your laptop as far as whatever you haven't backed up to this point.

But it will clean it you just follow the options it gives you on the install

You won't have to login to windows to do a install or a rescue.

Good Luck if you need any further assistance don't hesistate to ask.

My dell inspiron 1525 continuously keeps locking up. The screen just freezes up. I am unable to bring up task manager or hit escape. The only thing I can do is shut the power down / bring back up. This is...

Try this steps:

Turn off your laptop.
Power own your laptop then press release the F8 key until this option will popup.

Select Safe Mode.
Wait until Windows succesfully boots up using safe mode.

If you can succesfully log-on on your Safe Mode.

Press Windows Key + R

The run window pops up type MSCONFIG

Click Start Up as show below

Uncheck all check Items and click OK

Reboot your laptop and boot windows in normal mode...

Hope this helps...

Computer starts normally then I get a gray page

If you have any windows xp bootable cd use that to fix the problem by running the command chkdsk /r/f or you can try with this just restart the system in safe mode with command prompt and type the command like c:\windows>chkdsk
c:\windows>chkdsk /r/f

My Dell Inspiron 1525 wont load up

I'd suggest first removing your memory modules and reinsert one at a time.

But, I think your operating system is compromised, due to Spyware, etc.

Since your system won't boot in Safe Mode, your only other option is to repair or reinstall your operating system.

Hope this helps.

Usually this happens when the vista boot loader fails. During boot up, keep tapping F8 and then select Disable Automatic Restart... and get the stop error code which usually starts with 0x

How do you reinstall windows when you cannot login ?

It sounds like a virus problem. Try booting from a anti virus software cd and let it search for a virus. Hopefully this will fix your problem. Hope this helps.
