Question about Acer Aspire 4315 Notebook
My acer 4315 laptop will not start. when the button is depressed, it stays lit for several seconds, blinks once, and stays lit for several more seconds before going off. the display remains black throughout.
I've tried removing power (both battery and adapter), but cannot get it to boot up. please help
This problem usually occurs if you have faulty RAM (memory)module or it may only need to be reseated to make proper electrical connection.
On the bottom of the laptop there are one or two panels, under one of these panels will be the memory module/s, you need to remove the screw/s securing the panel to reveal the memory. The memory modules are secured with spring loaded catches on the sides of the module, apply pressure to the side of the caches to release the memory module, remove and insert it a few times so it will make proper electrical connection.
Reboot youe laptop and if the laptop still does not work then the memory module most likely is faulty and needs to be replaced.
