I am unable to remove the disc stem

I was grating soap in my food processor.  It stalled , and I cleared it.  I went to empty the bowl and have not been able to remove the stem.  I am afraid to pull too hard.  The food processor still works properly. because I can not remove the stem I cannot remove the bowl.  I have used a fair amount of pressure trying to remove the stem.

I have the same problem of unable remove the disc stem from KitchenAid KFPW760 food processor. After using the disc stem with a slicing disc, the disc stem could not be taken out. Thus I couldn't remove the bowl. Please advice how to fix the problem.

    Thanks!

My disc stem got stuck. I added boiling water to the bowl and left it a few minutes. After some jiggling of the stem it came off.

There is no mechanism to lock the stem onto the base of the KFP750. It's just held on by gravity, so you're not missing anything simple!

It's possible that the soap dust got in there and glued in on. Take a blow dryer or very hot rag (use tongs!) to the stem to see if you can soften the soap, then pull up the stem.

Blade of cusinart dlc 7 superpro food processor will not spin when food is in the bowl- works when no food is in it. Is it is the stem? How do I replace it?

It'll probably cost more to fix than replace. If you have a collection of blades, maybe find one in working order on a shopping site and meld the two together. Happy hunting! Happy New Year!!!!

Need to clean inside of handle on KitchenAid food processor

The plastic for the work bowl / handle is molded and one piece and cannot be disassembled. My best recommendation is to call Kitchenaid customer service to see what recommendations they have. Within one year warranty, they may replace the work bowl at no cost.

Their toll-free number is: 1-800-541-6390.

Black & Decker Food Processor F1-CFP-10 need the BLADE

I have the Black & Decker Shortcut food processor Model CFP10 and it has a broken bowl. I would prefer to replace the bowl but haven't found a source. So I would be willing to sell the good parts: Food Pusher, Food Chute/Cover; Food Fingers/ Reversible Disc, Disc Stem, Knife Blade. Make me an offer and e mail me at:
hersh@powwwer.net. I'll accept Pay Pal or certified checks.

Grating

Any of the disc blades require the use of the detachable stem. The official "Fine Grating Disc" (which doesn't normally come supplied with the food processor) is mainly for grating cheese, but the shredder disc that comes supplied with the food processor will do the job for you.

Disc stem stuck...can't pull it off.

Hey I had the same problem. This may sound primitive and stupid but it worked. Give the stem a good whack with a wooden spoon all the way around, it will come off.

Machine on but not working

The video is generic, and may actually show a different model with completely different assembly instructions. For the DLC-8S and DFP-11 series, you want work bowl handle facing the front of the processor, feed tube on lid facing back of the processor, and sliding lock switch facing the front of the machine. For the DLC-2011, you want work bowl handle facing front, lid lined up with work bowl handle, and metal element hanging from pusher facing front.

To make sure the motor is working first, remove the work bowl, blade, etc. completely from the base of the food processor. Plug the base in and turn the food processor on. Then use a pen to press in the dark gray or black button on top of the processor - if it makes a sound, your motor is good. If it doesn't, call Cuisinart and get your processor repaired.

Good luck!

How to attach grating/shredding blades to GE Food Centre FP22

When you remove the regular chopper blade, it should fit on top of the stem. The chopper blade must be removed to use the slicer / shredder attachments.
