Remote won't control my 4th generation ipod nano
my remote controls the ihome but wont control my ipod when it is docked. also my ipod is extremely hard to dock, you have to position it in an extremely exact position for it to work. it wont charge either and yes i am using the correct plastic dock insert. does the ihome not work with the 4th generation??

- I have the exact same problem! it will play the ipod and charge it perfectly without any insert, but it makes me nervous as i don't know what the insert is needed for. The remote will work, but only for a second. When I hit the radio button, it will go to radio and then go back to the song my ipod was playing...- alexia_pagelBest Solution

Hey I figured it out. When you bought the 4th generation ipod nano it came with it's own dock insert. It fits perfectly and fixes everything, including the remote issues. Now my only problem is I have a black ihome and a white insert :( Good luck!
