Question about HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook
I can have the note book on my lap, or wherever.
If I move away from it (even for a minute) I come back
and the arrow has frozen and I have to hit the turn on button.
It is very frustrating.
Couple of things. First go into the Control Panel>Power Management and see if it is set to go into sleep mode with a very short time period, like 1 or 2 minutes.
Second, try only using your laptop on a firm flat surface like a table. If you put it on your lap the air is not able to circulate like it should and will cause it to overheat which produces all kinds of wierd things.
