Just a shot in the dark here, but check this out to see if we may fix it:

Make sure your images are
1. .jpg, not .jpeg, .tif or any other extension.
2. Not too large, maybe around 5x7 72dpi
3. Images are not corrupt. Try to open it on your computer
4. Copy the images to your desktop, reformat your card either with your computer or camera, then load them back on the card and try again.

Maybe one of these will work.
You may have to return because it's defective.
