Cannot install software for RangeMax Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter

I cannot install the software for the RangeMax Wireless USB 2.0 adapter. I have a Mac G5 Power PC and an ibook G4 running OSX. I cannot get the software to run on either computer. Please help.

Did you check the Hardware Compatibility List to make sure that it would work on those computers? Unfortunately, not all brands work together and you should always check to make sure whatever your buying will work with the PC & Operating System you're using.

I have an old Power Mac G5 WITHOUT wireless capability. Just bought a Belkin F7D2101 Surf & Share Wireless USB Adapter. But I can't seem to find a driver for Mac. Is there a solution?


Belkin surf is not compatible with any versions of Mac osX...Take it back to stores...

The list of belkin adapters that supports MAC OSX are...

No definitely not....

If you want your Xbox to be wireless, then you need to buy Xbox wireless adapter...

Bcoz the Xbox wireless adapter comes with a pre-built in drivers....
but other brand wireless adapter donot comes with a built in drivers, you need to install the drivers using a driver cd....But Xbox do not allow driver cd's to be installed on it... so you will not be able to use ordinary wireless adapter instead of Xbox wifi adapter...

Do you have a good signal strength with the wireless USB adapter?
If not try moving the wireless router away from walls or metal objects and cordless phones, locate the wireless router higher.
See if there is a later driver for the wireless USB adapter, if so download and install it.

To isolate the issue. please install the adapter on another computer. If the other computer does not detect the adapter then that means the adapter is faulty.

Netgear wireless adapter USB WBN111 Finds my NETGEAR router, but will not connect to my NETGEAR RANGEMAX router. Enter WPA key, but nothing. Help?


Make sure your router has no mac filtering. If there is mac filtering disable it and try again. If issue persist reset the router and set accordingly. If you need further help please post.
