Problems with installing Pet Vet 2

My kids got PetVet 2 for Christmas....we installed the program...the cover page appears normal, then when it goes to the game to create the profile the character is distorted....I uninstalled it and reinstalled still the same results...I am not sure what is wrong....

We also just installed another game, Nanny Mania and it works fine....I also, deleted a couple of games we no longer play, just in case memory was an issue.....PetVet still was not acting correct..

The minimum requirements for this game requires a separate directx compatabile video card with at least 64MB graphics memory on it. Most laptops have shared video, not a separate card. So that is why this particular game will not work because you are installing it on a laptop without a separate video card. Please take a moment to give this a fixya rating since I answered your correction, even though the answer may not have been the greatest news. Thanks.

Missing user32.dll

User32.dll errors come from issues inside Windows that involve the User32.dll file. This file contains important information regarding graphics details for objects such as dialog boxes. When there is an issue with the file, there will be problems when using other programs that use dialog boxes and other pop-up windows. Normally, a quick Windows update will solve all errors and problems.

Click the "Start" button and then "Run." This will open the "Run" window. Type in "wupdmgr". This will open Windows Update. It will now scan the computer to detect any necessary updates that are available from Microsoft. Turn on automatic updates by clicking "Start" again, followed by "All Programs," then "Windows Update." Select "Change Settings"; then select "Include recommended updates when downloading, installing, or notifying me about updates." Click "OK" and everything will be set. Windows will download the necessary update and install it to correct the User32.dll errors Hope this helps.

Cannot get wifi on 2 of these

Have you turned on their wi-fi? Here's a tutorial on how to connect your Sylvannia PC laptop to wi fi - www.ehow.com/how_7792811_connect-wifi-sylvania-netbook.html

If it does work, then I suggest that you add or install Radarsync in your computer to keep it updated and that your kids can avoid from driver issues. Drivers are important and they should be updated so that computers work to its full potential.

I hope this helps!

How do i get my laptop back to factory settings?

Here's what you need to do:

Using Dell PC Restore by Symantec
NOTICE: Using Dell PC Restore permanently deletes all data on the hard drive and removes any applications or
drivers installed after you received your computer. If possible, back up the data before using PC Restore. Use PC
Restore only if System Restore did not resolve your operating system problem.
NOTE: Dell PC Restore by Symantec is not available in all countries or on all computers.
Use Dell PC Restore by Symantec only as the last method to restore your operating system.
PC Restore restores your hard drive to the operating state it was in when you purchased the computer.
Any programs or files added since you received your computer—including data files—are permanently
deleted from the hard drive. Data files include documents, spreadsheets, e-mail messages, digital photos,
music files, and so on. If possible, back up all data before using PC Restore.
To use PC Restore:
1 Turn on the computer.
During the boot process, a blue bar with www.dell.com appears at the top of the screen.
2 Immediately upon seeing the blue bar, press <Ctrl><F11>.
If you do not press <Ctrl><F11> in time, let the computer finish starting, and then restart the
computer again.
NOTICE: If you do not want to proceed with PC Restore, click Reboot in the following step.
3 On the next screen that appears, click Restore.
4 On the next screen, click Confirm.
The restore process takes approximately 6–10 minutes to complete.
56 Troubleshooting Tools
5 When prompted, click Finish to reboot the computer.
NOTE: Do not manually shut down the computer. Click Finish and let the computer completely reboot.
6 When prompted, click Yes.
The computer restarts. Because the computer is restored to its original operating state, the screens that
appear, such as the End User License Agreement, are the same ones that appeared the first time the
computer was turned on.
7 Click Next.
The System Restore screen appears and the computer restarts.
8 After the computer restarts, click OK.

REMEMBER go to Microsoft Updates as all those downloaded since you got the mach will be GONE

If you just want to restore to an earlier date

Restoring the Computer to an Earlier Operating State
If problems occur after you install a device driver, use Device Driver Rollback (see "Using Windows XP
Device Driver Rollback" on page 52) to resolve the problem. If that is unsuccessful, then use System
Restore.
NOTICE: Before you restore the computer to an earlier operating state, save and close any open files and exit any
open programs. Do not alter, open, or delete any files or programs until the system restoration is complete.
1 Click the Start button, point to All Programs→ Accessories→ System Tools, and then click System
Restore.
2 Ensure that Restore my computer to an earlier time is selected and click Next.
3 Click a calendar date to which you want to restore your computer.
The Select a Restore Point screen provides a calendar that allows you to see and select restore points.
All calendar dates with available restore points appear in boldface type.
4 Select a restore point and click Next.
If a calendar date has only one restore point, then that restore point is automatically selected. If two or
more restore points are available, click the restore point that you prefer.
5 Click Next.
The Restoration Complete screen appears after System Restore finishes collecting data and then the
computer restarts.
6 After the computer restarts, click OK.
To change the restore point, you can either repeat the steps using a different restore point, or you can

Hi my notebook acer aspire 4720 laptop has problems just when i go to windows xp directly i got blue screen. after just install a new driver for soundcard and card reader in acer website.

Do a system restore to the point just before installing the driver. I don't have XP anymore, but if you search, you will find the system restore utility. It's in Administrative tools somewhere.
1.
Click Start, then click on All Programs, then click on Accessories, click on System Tools, and then click System Restore.
2.
On the Welcome screen, click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click next.
3.
On the Select a Restore Point page, select the date from the calendar that shows the point you'd like to restore to, as shown in Figure 2, (in your case, the place where the soundcard driver was installed) and then click Next.

4.
On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, verify that the correct restore point is chosen, and then close any open programs.
5.
Click Next if you are ready to proceed or click Back to change the restore point.
6.
The computer will shut down automatically and reboot. On reboot, you'll see the Restoration Complete page, and then click OK. Do not do anything while it is running this process, do not shut it down yourself, or restart, it will do it itself.

After seeing the results, you can either choose another restore point, or you can undo the restore you just did. Just open System Restore and make the appropriate choice. After you use System Restore, you will see an additional task, Undo my last restoration, on the system restore welcome page. Remember that you'll have to reinstall any programs that were installed after the restore point.
If System Restore doesn't work in Normal Mode, it may work in Safe Mode, or, if you have to, if windows will not boot up, you can run it with a windows disk also. To use System Restore in Safe Mode, press the F8 key during reboot and choose Safe Mode. When your computer starts in either Safe Mode or Normal Mode, System Restore can be used to capture a working previous state.

Start up problem

It appears that Service Pack 2 did not completely install. Try to boot into safe mode (F8 at startup). If you can, go to control panel, then add/remove programs. Scroll all the way down, select Windows XP Service Pack 2 and click "remove".

After it's removed, you will need to reboot, but the system should come up normally after that.

Hope this helps - please remember to rate :)

Graphics card

Unfortunately, it sounds like you will need a new graphics card to run that game. Pixel shaders are built into the graphic card hardware and there is no way to download or install them. According to the games system requirements you need a 100% compatible Directx 9.0C card. If you post the make and model of your computer(or motherboard) I could recommend a card for you.
