I'm a new international student in United States, I bought a used KV-32fs13 a few days ago which works fine well with DVD players and the other external devices attached to it, however the man who sold the TV told me that he had no cable to test it for me. I brought TV to home and found out that there's a problem with its tuner which makes the picture to flip between black & white and color continuously with a disturbing buzzing sound. I took the TV back off and found out that when I push the board under the tuner up whole things go right so I'm sure that there is something wrong with the Tuner maybe it has a loose connection but since I'm no expert in dealing with electrical circuits I want to know what should I do? How can I find the loose connection or the problem? Can I use an external tv tuner box instead of its own internal tuner? I also wanted to have a technician look at it but it costs tooooooo much about 3 folds that I paid to buy the TV so I as a student can't afford it.

Well, your TV is no doubt under warranty. The only reason I can thing of why they want you to use a DVD player is to find out if the Digital Tuner inside the TV is the source of the problem.
They need to replace the Digital tuner board or the main mother board. Either way, they have to come out to your house to replace a part.
Just keep hammering them of the warranty coverage.
The 4 blinks usually mean a vertical deflection problem. If you can solder you should be able to repair this yourself. Let me know if you wish to attempt the repair and I'll provide more details and instructions.
The set has a problem with the tuner itself and there are no resets in this new sets, you should remove the back cover and carefully tap with a wooden or rubber handle the tuner area where the cable comes in to see if a channel would tunes in,if it does react is likely it has loose conections in the tuner grounds or pins, the conector where you screw the cable to can not be loose either,it should be nice and solid,if you are familiar with tv service is something you can try but if you are not too familiar call for assistance from a servicer or just save the money and use a vcr to change the channels using the same imput as the dvd player unless you have two separete aux.imputs.
