Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have a Peavey Transtube Series Bandit 112. I just got it and had it adjusted to play with distortion, but my 2 1/2 yr old son messed with all the knobs and now it won't distort. I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Actually they are all subjective depending on what is connected and what you want to hear. Reading the manual will help. try this link: http://assets.peavey.com/literature/manuals/80302311.pdf

How to set up for bandit 75

What do you by setup for? Are you looking for certain settings to get a certain sound? I'd do a search for the player's name + amp settings. I would try the tone controls first if I was trying to tailor the sound. Try to adjust treble bass, midrange, and try with the volume down and the tone controls all the way up and reduce from there.

Peavey bandit 112 reverb

It might just be the control knob. My fender's reverb went out and it was just the knob.

My amp won't play distortion.

Hello all you have to do is turn your master volume down to just barley on then turn your pre amp volume somwhere about 2:oclock depending on how much distortion you want ajust your volume on your guitar a little past halfway to give yourself some headroom in case you need to turn up some while you are playing! just think of it as your guitar is your first pre-amp then your amp is second preamp in line ,that is your over drive ,then the master volume is how loud you want the overall volume i hope this help's ya!

Hi lumberman597

The cool thing about guitar amps is that you can mess with the knobs until you find the sound that you like. There is no particular way to use it, just try to find a tone that suits you. Start with gain controls down and tone knobs at 12o'clock. Turn up the gain(one at a time) to get distortion and more sustain to your sound. Turn the distortion up midrange down and treble up for metal sounds, more bass and midrange for bluesy sounds. just play around with it and you will see what I mean. Here is a guide from Fender on how to setup your guitar. If you are not sure, a good guitar tech can make any old axe feel and sound great with a good setup
unfortunately, Fender do not have an electronic copy of your owners manual to download, but you can buy one for $5 direct from them here It is only a 1 page manual.... so you will get more from just messing with it.

Musicians spend there whole lives tuning and tweaking knobs to get the sound they are looking for. It wont take you long to start doing the same.:)

robotek
