Question about Philips 37PF7320A 37 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
Chassis Model #
Model # 25TR19 C225
Serial # 51095491
First, TV would shut off by itself, and I would have to wait before I could watch TV again. After time, it would only power on for about 2 seconds and immediately shut off. No picture or sound. I read a few forums with individuals who had the same issue. Some are saying that I should replace the fuse and the PTC thermistor, while also disconnecting the Degaussing Coil. Others are saying that this is just a simple fuse problem. However, my fuse still seems to appear intact, and it is not blackened. I have not made any repairs yet, because I want to be sure about what I'm actually repairing. I've also checked all of the capacitors and resistors. There does not seems to be any erosion and all are still enclosed. I do not plan to throw away the TV set because I do believe that it can be repaired. I appreciate any input on the issue. Please post possible solutions or any steps that you may have tried regarding to the issue.
I can't be the fuse like you say it is not blackened or open. Set may have a loose solder joint in the power supply look around large IC's and resistors (anything that genrates heat) can cause this problem. A faulty high voltage trasformer can do this I will check and see if I have any info on this particular chassis.. Oh yeah the deguassing coill is not doing it.
