The system is only picking up one remote for instance the guitar on Guitar Hero complete band set. For some reason it is not picking up the drum set. The console is not picking up the second remote. Any solutions. Same thing happens on Speed race. When mulitplayer is selected. The system reads that two remotes must be connected. It is strange. The second remote does work with other games such as wii sports that came with the system. Pleaes assist.

Re: 2nd remote problem with certain games

look on the instruments for a red button. press this button at the same time you press the red button on the front of your wii console. this should sync the system to the controllers. (the guitar should already be synced since you plug the wii remote into it, but do it anyway)
you need a wii remote for each instrument and the microphone. you need one remote for the drums, one for the bass guitar player, one for the guitar, and one in close proximity to the microphone user. you have to set a wii remote near the microphone once the microphone is plugged into the USB port in the back of the wii console. i think there is something like a 10 foot radius meaning if the wii remote is too far from the microphone it will disconnect. so you can do only one instrument per wii remote you are using.
where? the Wiimote? maybe the Battery is low or something, maybe you could bring down a little details, I'm just using the Guitar Hero Guitar on the Rock Band 2, Here It's very slowly updated with cool games... Can't even find the Guitar Hero 5 in the game stores...
When starting up Rock Band, make sure that no more than one Wiimote is activated (two if you are using one for a bass/guitar). If any are, they will over ride the drums and guitar in priority.
Make sure that only the drums, wireless guitar, microphone (controlled by the Wiimote) and 2nd guitar (whether the fender type with built in wireless OR, but NOT AND, a 2nd guitar that uses a Wiimote).
If more than the max number of wiimotes are turned on when you power up the game, reset your console, and wait to start Rockband until the other wiimotes no longer show a light.
The Guitar Hero: World Tour guitar controller isn't compatible with Rock Band. They are made by different developers and to boost sales of their own controllers, each has different software for their controller. I think the only controller that does work is the Rock Band drums. They work with both games, but a World Tour controller is unlikely to work with Rock Band.

Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments are NOT compatible on the Wii. They are compatible on the 360, the PS3, and the RB drums for PS2. Activision went their own way with the Wii and made life difficult for all of the aspiring musicians on the Wii. Sorry.
