Xbox 360 tray wont shut

i have pushed the button 2 close the tray and all it does is say its closin then openin and then it says close tray again and i have shut the power off and un plugged it and it still wont shut. wen i shut it off i pushed the tray shut and wen i turned it back on it push the tray out again

u can give the tray a little push and see if it moves in, i know someone else who had the same problem, if you cant play games the laser reader may have died on you
