Are you talking about the entries in your search bar? Those would have been eliminated by clicking "clear search history".

Make google my home page

Ignore what I wrote above - I pressed enter before editing properly.
This is the example for the Firefox browser.
1. From you web browser's menu select "Preferences" - in Firefox click on "Edit" then "Preferences" in the drop-down menu.
2. The preferences window should appear opened to the "General" tab. If another tab is opened then click on the "General" tab.
3. You will see "When Firefox starts: Show my homepage" - If "Show my homepage" is not showing then you can select it by clicking on whatever is in the window currently and choose it from the drop-down menu.
4. Next - in the "Home Page:" window type "www.google.com" .
5. Final step in setting your preferences - below the window that you just filled in step 4. is a button/sign that says "Use Current Pages". Left-click on this button/sign.
6. Close the preferences window. Next time you startup your browser the google website should appear as your home page.

Remove toolbars from dropdown menu

Clear the Dropdown Address Bar For security and privacy's sake, you might want to clear the drop-down address bar in your Firefox browser. You can do so in just a few steps. Note that these entries will not be retrievable after they're deleted.
Launch Firefox browser and click your cursor inside the address bar. Begin to type in the address that you wish to delete, but do not press "Enter" or click "Go." You will see the drop-down list auto-populate. Using the up or down keys on your keyboard, scroll down to the item you wish to remove from the listing. Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard to remove it permanently. Your browser will now be free of specific items that you wish to remove. Remove Unwanted Toolbars Permanently Web toolbars are add-on programs that enhance functionality of your browser. Usually they improve your online searches, offer quick access buttons to favorite websites and some provide pop-up blockers. However, there are spyware programs that only pose as toolbars. Yet other toolbars, although not harmful, install themselves without your consent. You can easily remove these unwanted toolbars permanently from your PC.

Go to the "Start" menu and click "Control Panel." Click "Uninstall a program" under the Programs area. Scroll through the list of currently installed programs, select the toolbar that you want to remove and click "Uninstall." Follow the step-by-step prompts to uninstall the toolbar. Restart your computer when prompted at the end of the removal. b> Firefox Launch Mozilla Firefox, click the "Tools" drop-down menu, select "Add-ons" and click "Extensions." Click the toolbar you want to remove in the new window. Click the "Uninstall" button. Restart the browser.
Clear the Drop Down Menu in Mozilla Firefox b> Firefox's "autocomplete" feature helps speed up your Web browsing experience. Whenever you type in the browser's location bar, a drop-down menu appears. This menu may contain a mixture of previously visited websites and entries from your bookmarks collection. Although this feature makes it easier to revisit old sites, you may want to clear this drop-down menu when it becomes too large. Clearing the menu can reduce its and prevent others from viewing your browsing history if you share the computer.

Launch Firefox and click "Tools" to display a drop-down menu. Click the "Clear Recent History" option to view the "Clear Recent History" pop-up window. Click "Details." A list of options appears. Remove the check marks from all options, and place a check mark next to "Browsing & Download History." Click "Clear Now." b> Clear Bookmarks Click the "Tools" button again, and then click "Options" to display the "Options" window. Click "Privacy" and find the "Location Bar" section near the bottom of the window. Click the drop-down box in that section and click "Nothing." Click "OK."

Iwant to delete bookmarks

  1. 1Open your Mozilla Firefox browser.
  2. 2Select the "Bookmarks" button from the file bar.

  3. Scroll down to the bookmark you wish to delete. Scroll down to the bookmark you wish to delete.
  4. 4Hold your mouse over the bookmark you wish to remove and right click.
  5. From the drop-down menu that appears, select the Delete button. From the drop-down menu that appears, select the Delete button.
  6. 6Alternately, delete all bookmarks in Firefox by deleting the bookmark file from Mozilla Firefox's user profile folder. (Note - This method will not work on Firefox 3. The bookmarking system has been changed from that of previous versions) This varies on each PC since the profile folder name is a randomly generated name, but here's an example:

    C:\Documents and Settings\(your account name)\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\f1f2f3f4f5.default\bookmarks.html

I got switched to yahoo for my home page and dont know how to get back to sbcglobal.net

The answer to your problem depends on your internet browser. Are you using Internet Explorer? Firefox? Or Chrome? In Internet Explorer, you must look at the menu bar near the top where it says File-Edit-View-Favorites-Tools-Help. Click on Tools and a drop down menu will show up. Look on the drop down menu for Internet Options and click on that. The General options menu should show up and you can change the home page there. Good luck!

How do i import my bookmarks from firefox to safari

Hello. To import your bookmarks from your Firefox browser, choose "organze bookmarks" on the Bookmarks drop down menu at the top part of your firefox browser (or alternatively use ctrl+shift+B). This will open another window labeled "Library"; where all your bookmarks will be shown. From the "import and backup" drop down menu select "export HTML.."; a window pops up that will allow you to export/save your bookmark to a preferred location (Desktop, preferably). After which, open Safari, hit "File" then choose "import bookmarks" and just select the file that you earlier saved.
