Question about KitchenAid Superba Architect KSCS25INSS Side by Side Refrigerator
My refrigerator is 14 months old and has started to freeze food in the two crisper drawers on left side. I have tried adjusting temperature in fridge but that does not help. This is a 42" with freezer on lower half. The drawers are above the ice making section in the freezer. Any suggestions?
Could you look inside the door near bottom outside frame of fresh food side and get the model numbers for me to assist you better. Also if you have a way to check the temperature as you change settings on the thermostat for the fresh food section. We need to see how the thermostat responds to changes in settings. If no changes then we need to focus on the thermostat. Also there is duct that comes from freezer that can have a damper opened or close to different settings. Let me know the model and I will pull up the drawings for your model. Thanks Sea Breeze

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper)
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it.
Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it
to run. There is a flap you adjust with
the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust
the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

I heard about this problem in LG models, I know that isn't the brand but could helpfull like clues; apparently the problem is the main control board (in LG models). According to the
technician that came out to fix, there is a design flaw and these
boards are very sensitive and can blow a circuit or malfunction from the
slightest power surge. What happens then is that the control board
doesn't "tell" the fan to turn on and off at the right time so the
fridge and freezer warm up too much before the fan kicks in and then it
cools everything down but since the fan isn't running at the correct
intervals and circulating the air all of the cold air settles to the
bottom which causes the produce in the drawers to freeze while the top
shelves get warmer.
I had done a fair bit of research before calling your technician service, and came to the conclusion that this was a common problem. If you have underwarranty, called. The service tech also told they that all refridgerators made after 2001 are required (by law), to have an electronic mother board which in all likely hood will fail at some point prior to when you are ready to buy a new fridge.

SOURCE: water is collecting at the
There is a drain hole inside the fridge. The drain hole brings water out toward the evaporator. The drain hole is plugged, probably because of iced water inside the thin drain duct.
Check inside the fridge and locate the drain hole at the back. Usually the hole can be unclogged performing a complete defrost. A faster way is using an hairdryer. In that case the operation needs attention. Hairdryer on cold settings does not defrost in deep inside the hole. On hot you risk to damage the fridge panels. Better removing the food and performing defrost.
If defrost is not enough the drain hole must be unblocked using a thin flexible shaft or a copper wire.
