Question about Frigidaire FRS26R4A Side by Side Refrigerator
Hi there... You posted this question on the FixYa website:
"There is water build up then ice in the bottom of the freezer. Aboutonce a day there is overflow out of the bottom of the freezer door ontothe floor."
I am having exactly the same problem with my side-by-side Kitchenaid. Did you ever find out how to fix it?
Most likely a clogged defrost drain

Add a 3/4" x 1" or so clear piece of tubing slid over the existing fill tube. (available at any big box hardware store) I had the same issue until I installed this. You just want it long enough to pass the top lip of the ice tray. Mine was too short and water would run down the inside of the freezer and was a mess. I would also recommend cutting the bottom end at a 40 or so degree angel as it makes getting the ice maker module out a tad easier if you need to remove it.
Don't push too hard sliding the clear tubing over the existing tube,. Mine wasn't mounted very well inside the freezer cavity and you could actually push it further in.

SOURCE: Ice forming in bottom of freezer
Rita, your drain hole is frozen over and when your refer goes into defrost the water is running out into the cabinet instead of down the drain hole. Remove the evaporator cover and poor some boiling water in the evaporator drip pan. This should melt the ice and clear the drain hole....Catriver...post back.

take all the bottom shelves and baskets out of the freezer. look at the back wall of the freezer. youll see a block of ice in a metal pan looking part at the bottom of the rear panel. there is a hole in the bottom of that pan. thats the defrost drain. its clogged. use a hair dryer to get all the ice out then use hot water to flush out the drain hole.

I had this problem. You need to clean out the drain under the freezer. The tech that came out used a squeezie bulb similar to what you use for a baby to clean their nose when clogged. You have to remove all the shelf's and the back plate. You need to use warm water to defrost the frozen ice and remove. use water and squeeze into the hole and **** out.. takes 10 minutes.. finally it will drain.. no parts are necessary. good `luck
