Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

Screen doesn't work

I have had my player since December and have had zero incidents to conflict with the functionality of it. No drops, spills, etc. About a month ago the screen stopped working properly. About a third of the time I get only a fuzzy picture, another third I get vertical lines or bars and the remaining time it seems to display properly or slightly readable. I have tried updating it a few times, but nothing changes this malfunction. Should I just return it? Any help would be appreciated. andrew

Re: screen doesn't work

If this has happened to you, please alert Sandisk ASAP. My Sansa did that and eventually, it got to the point of where it wouldn't turn on without being stupid like that, and then, CS said that it was messed 4ever

I have just received a new Archos vision 43 player which worked fine until I tried to use it wit a 16gb Kingstin SDHC micro memory card and the screen froze, and it would not turn off or change...

maybe your device doesn't match putting up high memory card, remove that and place back your default micro sd card..
note:you should go back immediately to your previous sd card, before many conflicts occurs

may this was helpful to you, goodluck

My back light wont work. I've reset all the settings and restored it. Nothing works. anything you can recommend?

Turn the brightness to max under settings. If that don't work then you got a dud. Take it back to the Apple shop and have them deal with it if your under the year warranty or 3 years if you bought an extended warranty. Backlight will go out if you spilled water on it or dropped it hard. Apple won't do sh.t for you if you dropped this thing or spilled water on it.

It wont turn on and theres white randon dots on the screen which is black

Could it be that you dropped it or spilled water on it? Also, could be random defect from manufacturer. Take it back to the Apple store and exchange it if your still under the 1 year warranty or you got a 3 year warranty. Keep in mind though that the Apple dorks won't do sh.t for you if you spilled water on it, because that voids the warranty.

The whole center turner doesn`t work anymore ,i think i need to buy a whole new middle button

If the dial doesn't spin, then unfortunately your Fuze is physically damaged, and will need to be repaired.

If the dial stopped working on its on, versus not working due to physical damage inflicted by being dropped, abuse etc., and your player is less than one year old, it is covered under SanDisk's warranty service. Email to ask about this. They will probably want you to provide proof of purchase (showing date and place of purchase and name of the reseller).

Paolam: my sister dropped the i-pod classic and

These things are pretty tough but that depends the height it was dropped from and the surface it landed on.

Check to make sure the slide lock on top didn't somehow get moved during the incident. If that's not the problem, then try re-syncing it to your computer.

Hope this info was helpful to you. Good Luck!

Broken Screen?

the same thing happened to me. pretty much, all u can do is go to the place u bought it, and see if u can get it fixed, or to buy another one. the upside of buying a new one is if u ever need parts, like a headphone jack, etc., u get get it from the other one. i suggest getting one of ebay, if u can get a non-functional one with a working screen, it will be cheap and ull get a new screen. hope this helped!
