I had this problem with an Aficio 2018D using scan router ScanRouter V2 Lite. The MFP would say it couldn't update the delivery list. Deleting/Reinstalling SW, resetting the I/O device and so on, nothing worked. At last I had to use the SP 5845 (see maintenance manual) to manually change the Delivery Server IP address, which was initially set to and had by then been corrupted to, to which was the IP address of the WinXP where ScanRouter was running (of course port 3870/tcp must be opened as exception in Windows Firewall). The scanner immediately "saw" the delivery list, updated by itself and, touching wood, worked like a charm ever since.

What is ip address and how can i change it

An IP address (Internet Protocol Address) is a logical address of a network adapter. The IP address is unique and identifies computers on a network. An IP address can be private, for use on a LAN, or
public, for use on the Internet or other WAN.

You cannot change the ip address, if you using static ip address. If it is dynamic ip address, you can change it easily by resetting the modem or switching it off and can also use Proxy server or Hide ip address software to change the ip address.

To check the ip address before and after changing, you can visit the site Here you can search IP,domain host and it also includes city, country, global latitude & longitude coordinates etc.

Lanier LD016 can't scan to server using server name but can scan to server using IP address on server 2003.

Your DNS information may be incorrect use a ipconfig /All to check your DNS setting from any workstation on your current network. If you ping the name of the server it should reply with the IP address

Changing a Dell 3010cn IP address and Storecenter

Print a settings page from the printer. If you are not sure on how to get the settings page, download the user manual from, there should be instructions in there on how to get this. Once you have the settings page locate the IP address on the print out. Take this IP address (which may be different then the one you want to use) and open internet explorer, put the IP address in where you would normally type a web address, hit enter. This will take you to the embedded web server of the printer. Once you are there, you can look for printer settings, ip address or TCP/IP address. Once you have found this, you can set a static (meaning it will not change, unless you change it) IP address (the IP address your tech person gave you) and submit the information to the printer. The printer must be on and in the ready state for this to take hold. If you are prompted for a username and password for the embedded web server, dell default username in small case is admin, leave password blank or username admin, password is password. To confirm that the address has taken, print another settings page from the printer.

    Lanier LD 024c

You need to check the DNS server. Press user tools, system settings, interface settings. This screen will display IP address settings. There is a DNS selection. Put the Ip address for the DNS in there. (obtain by, Windows desktop screen, Start, run, type cmd in the input box, enter, at the prompt, type ipconfig /all. it will bring up your settings. write down the DNS setting.)

Now, your SMTP server setting can be obtained by going into your Email account settings. There will be a spot for servers. If you are using Microsoft exchange server, you can use the server name or its IP address. Otherwise, it will be your ISP email server setting. You can just call your ISP and get the outgoing server name. Once obtained, go into user tools. system settings, file transfer and plug in into the SMTP option. I think if I'm not mistaken, there is a connection test there as well. (The 024 might be too old to have that) That should do it. You may need to enter in a email name and password for athentication.

If you have any problems, you can call the Lanier help desk too. 800-424-1573
