your new tv probalby has an hdmi output. depeding on how old your jvc system is, iit may or may not have an hdmi input. not to worry, there should be some type of compatible output on the tv to send audio signal to the jvc. first look at the back of the jvc and see whats there. then look at the tv and you should see compatible output on tv and run proper cable to input on jvc. some auxillary audio outputs on the tv are driven by the volume of the tv itself, so make sure to turn the volume on the tv up a llittle to make sure its sending signal. you may have to go into the tv menu and turn the internal tv speakers off so you dont hear them and the jvc. its not a big deal if your hearing both, it just wont be true surrond sound. if it were mine, id turn the tv speakers off.
well you can connect white and red to green connector(Front Speakers) the yellow connector is subwoofer speaker and the Black connector is for Rear Speakers) is not connected. The Tv dont have any Surrond decoder so to have full surrond needs surrond decoder
I had the same thing just happen and I used the following instructions from the Vizio Website for "humming sound" on tv and it worked. My sound is now working!!!!
1- Power off TV
2- Unplug TV from outlet
3- Press and hold in the power button on the TV for 30 seconds (while it is unplugged from the wall)
In the menu for initial setup look for a setting for center channel and turn it off. If it is on you will have no sound because it turns the TV speaker into the center speaker for a surrond sound receiver input.
you have a delay time on your home theater JVC, that is normal. So it's either you reduce the delay time of your JVC or do not use the TV sound. Set the delay time of your DSP so you can heqar the sound you wish... like the delay time of your surrond.
This TV ONLY transfer audio OUT to a ANALOG SYSTEM THRU AND ANALOG SIGNAL. That is, TV will play sound fine in your surround system but any digital (HDMI) wont sound.
