Cant find neutral on 1300 vstar

Will not starte if its not in neutral how do i fix this cant get it to shift in neutral

I put new bars on my v-star 1300 and rewired all the wires and now I can't get the neutral light to come on or get the motor to turn over can anyone help

Neutral switch is defective also find wire to switch un plug and jumper across plug end to verify neutral light and cuircuit is operating properly

SOURCE: what type of oil filter will fit a 2007 yamaha vstar 1300 other than yamaha filter

I use fram PH6017A. Get them at wall mart 6 or 7 dollars. about ten.or twelve dollars cheaper than one from yamaha also longer than stock so insted of 3.6 qt of oil I use full 4 qt. Hope this helped. Ride safe and have fun

What causes a decelleration vibration on 2008 vstar 1300

A bit more information please. With the bike in neutral does it vibrate as you rev up and release the throttle? Do you get any vibration when your accelerating as you ride? When you release the throttle but NOT brake does it happen? Do you get the vibration only when you brake?

If it stops running when put in gear, but runs in neutral, check your sidestand switch.

1986 Yamaha Venture Royal 1300 will only start in neutral now.

There is a tiny switch at the clutch lever housing assembly, the wires that are on tht switch may hve been distrubed unknowingly whilst you were refitting the cable.
Not bad too if you can check the switch which has a tiny protusion towards the clutch lever, it may probabley need a little adjusting or cleaning,spray some WD40 to it.
To access it from the lever side , it would be best to remove the clutch lever.
