One way to resolve your issue would be to run a complete Restore of the whole system. This should pose little worry to you as your PC is very new, but is only to be used as a last resort as it will TOTALLY WIPE ALL THE USER INFORMATION that you had input yourself and return your new PC to the state it was in when you first opened its lid. The specific step by step instructions or install routine you need can be found within the user manual and any install disk you may need should be supplied in the box it came in. Look in the manual for RESTORE. One last thing when restored add a USER ACCOUNT for you grandson and ensure it is set to be LIMITED not to ADMINISTRATOR and password your own account (as one MUST be set to ADMIN.) so that he will not be able to set up such a problem in the future.

Will an acer 5535 15.6" screen work in an acer 5735

It should do provided they are the same size, and have the same connections on the back, the easiest way is to remove the bezel (screen surround) and look at the connections on the back of the screen, if they look the same there is a good chance it will fit and work

Check the part number on the rear of the screen. If not identical it might not work.

Go into device manager and uninstall your network adapters then restart the laptop. The network adapters will now reinstall themselves with default settings and hopefully now youre connected. Hope this has worked if so please vote

Sir,
There is a way which can actually help. You can open screws of your laptop from down by removing the battery. then search for the jumper in the motherboad remove it and screw it up put in the battery and start there will be the messege bios reseted.
the passward would be removed and now if you want to put in the jumper you can do that or if not its all up to you.

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5535 with password in the bios

Unfortunately, if he put a sysetm BIOS password and doesn't remember it, you need to contact Acer's website.

You can have a electronics technician jumper all electrical current to wipe out the BIOS password, but contact acer first to make sure that there is not another method.

User guide for Acer laptop model 5535

Hi, I may have a possible fix for this....
I got an Acer Aspire 5535 for christmas off my parents and on christmas day had a problem where the screen randomly goes off into sleep and cannot wake up unless restarting. This is very annoying!!!

After narrowing the odds down, i found that after watching vidoes on websites such as Youtube or BBC iPlayer or even iTunes videos my computer went into sleep.

The only way to solve this... according to Acer - a new video chip needs to be installed so send it off to Acer.
After this it works fine as i found out after watching Top Gear and the new series of Reggie Perrin on the BBC iPlayer.

I hope this helps you - i know how annoying this can be.
Thanks =]

Does not turn on, bought new battery, still not charging.

I found out that the battery was put in upside down! I was not sure if this was the case because I was able to close the camera. I tried turning it around but it would not fit. I did not try to put in upside down. I think my grandson took it out by mistake and he put it back wrpng.
Unfortunately, there is no safeguard or guide, to stop one from inserting the battery incorrectly!

The complete solution to this fault (Acer 5535 keeps crashing under vista) is to use Windows XP instead of Vista. Set up a Dual Boot so you can CHOOSE to load XP or Vista each time you turn on the laptop. I've put XP on my 5535 and it's SO much faster and seems perfectly stable now - no crashing at all.

A full video showing how to do this is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdfU9TXIAd4
Once you've done this you won't have any problems with the laptop anymore.
This is a perfect solution to the crashing problem!
