Question about Dell W4201C 42 in. Plasma HDTV

No Picture Dell W4200HD has ready light. When I hit the power button, the power button goes from standby(purple) to on(blue). After 5 seconds, I can hear the 12v and 5v sub power go out in sequence. After this, the power on(blue) light stays on, and the only way to turn it off is to disconnect it.

I changed power supplies, but still had the same symptoms. At that point, I then proceeded to check all connections and make sure that they were making contact. I tried the power button again, paid attention to the led's on the main i/o board, and noticed that they were all lit, and stayed lit. I then connected the cable input, and enjoyed the beautiful picture that came out.

My apologies to the community. It looks like I posted my same problem incorrectly as a solution. I do not have a solution to this problem yet.

I had the same problem and I found a shorted 100uF 100V electrolytic capacitor on the lower logic level scan board. This board was located underneath the I/O tuner section on the tv. This shorted capacitor was keeping the 70V "VA" power supply output from starting. There are 8 caps total on the 4 logic level scan boards in the tv so you should replace them all.

Hello. It looks like I have the same problem that you had with your Dell W4200HD.

Where did you find the new power supply for yours?

Also, did you determine that you didn't really need a new power supply and that it was just a connection problem? If yes, could you please give me some help with what you did to get yours working.

Also, do you still have the power supply you took out of your TV? If yes, would you be willing to sell it to me?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Bluetooth wont charge or power on. when charging the red light comes on. once disconnected from charger it wont come on

Indicator Lights:
1.Headset Status Headset Indicator Light
2.Powering on Steady blue, then intermittent flashes
(changes to standby mode)
3.Powering off Red appears and goes off
4.Standby Blue intermittent flashes
5.Charging battery Red solid light. Light indicator turns off when
battery is fully charged and headset is off.
6.Low battery Triple red flashes
7.Pairing mode Blue/red alternating flashes
8.Missed call Purple flashes. Press the call control button
to cancel flashing light.
9.Incoming call Triple blue flashes when ringing.
Power on and off:
1.Turn on the headset Press and hold the call control button until the
indicator glows blue. You will hear ascending
tones.
2.Turn off the headset Press and hold the call control button until the
indicator glows red. You will hear descending
tones. When power is off, indicator stays off.
If none of this is helpful then it may be that your battery is dead, if that is the case then you will need to replace the whole headset. The battery's are not replaceable.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

My Sony KP-46WT500 screen shows the tv image in blue only for a few seconds, then it goes completely blank (as if it were off). Do I need to replace the bulbs?

It is rear projection TV that use 3 picture tubes of red-green-blue to show color picture on tv front screen.
Do you see standby red light blinking when TV shuts off after showing blue image for a while?
If red standby light is blinking, please count it how many times it blinks, there would be 3 seconds pause between blinks so count pause to pause and post it here to find out possible solution.
Thanks.

Sleep Mode Lockup on Dell Inspirion 530 w/ Vista

Try hitting the "Windows" key on your keyboard to bring it out of sleep mode. The "Windows" key is generally found on the bottom row of the keyboard, near the Alt and Ctrl keys, and it has no letters on it, just the Windows logo. That key brings my Windows Vista machines out of sleep mode when other keys won't.

As for the power button, anytime you need to force a computer to turn off, you can press and hold the power button to do so. Usually, you need to hold the power button for 5-10 seconds and it will shut down. Use this option with caution, as it turns the computer off without running through the shutdown process and can cause you to lose data.

Hope this helps.
