Check your thermostat wires. They may have a short in them.

Why does it run and blow warm air, then shuts off after a minute or two?

That is a cool down feature of the heater. It blows the fan until the temp is at a safe level. This is a normal function.

Furnace in mobile home has a few problems

Sounds like fan & limit control
If temp on limit reaches max temp what happens gas valve deenergized,as MTR continues to run begins to lower temp. Thus reenergizing valve
Check filters,MTR speed for heating

This is probably the fan limit that is bad. It should be a black bow tie looking thing next to or near the blower.

My heater is blowing air all the time not blowing warm air even when the thermostat is off.

Go to Home Depot and get a new thermostat.  Take some pictures with your digital camera of the color wire connections on your old thermostat and then hook them up the same to your new thermostat using the pictures as a guide.

When I go to heater mode, all I get is barely warm air. If I let truck sit for a few minutes it blows warm air until I start moving again, then it cools back down. I suspect that the heater fresh air door...

You didnt describe the vehicle at all, but you may have a sticking thermostat, which is usually located near or under the water pump in the radiator circuit. The only way to cure your problem is to purchase a new thermostat for your auto, and I suggest a Haynes Manual for your truck found in most auto parts stores if you're going to attempt a DIY. Follow the manual precisely, or take it to a professional.

My Dayton garage heater model 2E636B does not heat up.

These heaters are the same as the marley heater, the element never gets red hot. the unit is set up so the fan kicks on after the element has heated to a certain temp and turns off after the element has cooled. It is common for these heater fans to cycle on and off quite often untill the air temp reaches about 55 degrees and then will operate normaly. If the fan still cycles too often you may have to replace the fan control and high limit switch. These are not very expensive and easy to replace yourself. they arte usualy attached to the back of the element with clips. The luke warm air is what these units put out. I have an equivelent to the dayton G73 and it heats a 24' X 30' garrage all winter in central Minnesota.
