How do you set up Internet on the wii?

To access the internet with your wii console you'll need either a wireless router/gateway, or a wii wired LAN connector.

1. Power on your Wii console
2. Access the "Wii Setting" menu by selecting the circular wii icon in the bottom left of the screen and then choosing wii settings.
3. Use the arrow on the right of the screen to move to page two, then select "internet".
4. Select "Connection 1 ' None"
5. Choose "Wireless Connection" (assuming you have a wireless router), then select "Search for Access Point".
6. Wait for your wii to scan, then select your wireless network, and if prompted enter your wireless network password/key. Then click "OK".

You should now be able to connect to the internet. If your Wii runs a connection test and it proves unsuccessful it will display an error code. If you get Error Code 51330 or 52130 this means the password you entered does not match the password on the wireless network you are attempting to join. A list of all other error codes and what they mean can be found here: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/onlineErrorCodes.jsp

Can not connect to a wireless internet!?

If you have a wireless connection available in your home and you have the correct password to log in, we should be able to fix this. (unless there is actually something defective in your wii)

Ok, from the menu click Wii Options(bottom left). Then Wii settings, go one screen to the right and click Internet, Then Connection settings. Click Connection One. If there is a connection one installed already then Clear it.(clear settings)
Choose Wireless Connection. Search for access point. It should search and give a list of possible access points in your area. Find yours in the list. Clik it. Input your Key or password by clicking in the blank white space. That will bring up the keypad for typing. Click OK. Click OK. Click OK to save. Click OK to test(may take a minute). If it worked you'll get a screen asking to update the system.

If this didn't work, then let us know which step failed to work.

Need to know how to hook up the internet through the wii with the wireless device

Select the "Wii" button in the lower left corner of the main screen, then go to "Wii Settings." Find the "Internet" button, and click it, then click "Connection Settings." Select a connection, choose "wireless connection," and then hit "Search for an Access Point."

Wait for it to do it's thing, then click "Select Access Point." Select your wireless network and enter the neccassary Key/password if applicable, then click "Ok" to save the settings.

The Wii will then test your connection, and if all is well you will be required to update your system by downloading the newest software for it, which will happen automatically.
