Does a Samsung washing machine model WA12VP have a drain pump? It has a drain motor to activate the draining valve for draining right? Thank you.

Yes, the Samsung washing machine model WA12VP has a drain pump. The drain pump is responsible for pumping water out of the washing machine during the draining stage of the wash cycle.
It is possible that the issue you are experiencing is related to the drain valve rather than the drain pump. The drain valve is what opens to allow the water to flow out of the machine, and if it is not opening properly, the water will not drain.
To troubleshoot the issue, you can try manually opening the drain valve to see if water flows out of the machine. If it does not, then the issue is likely with the drain valve and it may need to be replaced.
If the drain valve is working properly, then you may need to check the wiring and control board for issues that may be preventing the drain pump from activating during the draining stage.

Ecosmart washer won't drain it filled with water, washed and nowwon't drain the water.

you need to vacume out all the water so you make it light, then dolly out the washer to some place you can drain it. now take off the front of the washer and locate your water pump, its attached to your drain line. take off drain line to water pump and see if anything is clogged in the pump. This is most likely what is wrong if it wont drain. hope this helps.

The tub wont drain

Now for the repairs -

1. Remove all the clothing that is in the washer.

2. Remove all the water you can via a siphon hose technique.

3. Remove drain line from its drain and put it in a shallow bucket on floor and drain out whatever water it may have. Turn off cold and hot water feeds and remove drain lines. Drain water from them.

Now for the hard work - a helper is probably needed. You may wish to take digital photos of things before you take them apart so you get them back together properly later (I strongly recommend you do this). Get the tool box, a flash light, and an extension light out - you will need them.

4. Tip washer over on its side - and watch for and collect any water that it may have still in it. Remove the drain hose from the water pump (the drain hose connects to the pump). Remove belt from water pump. Remove water pump and take it apart. Make sure nothing is blocking the pump itself (a laundry item may be there); reassemble pump and make sure it spins freely at the belt pulley. Check the drain line from tub to pump - and make sure it is clean. You usually have to also remove the solenoid valve that is opened to permit draining as well - just follow the line to the tub. Make sure solenoid valve feed line has nothing blocking it. Once the entire drain line, drain solenoid valve, and pump are clear and clean, reconnect everything properly. Return washer to upright position. Connect water hoses and drain line.

I have an f3 and f4 error code on asko washing machine front loader. i know what the error codes are just dont know where they are anyone can help I need it thanks

F3 indicates a problem with the drain pump. At the bottom left of the machine, theres a square cut-out. This is where the drain pump is located. Using a flat head screwdriver or similar object, insert in opening on right side and gently pry open the drain pump cover.
Once the cover has been opened, be careful when opening the drain pump, as there is always a little water left in the drain pump. Before you open the drain pump, place a small container on the floor below the drain to catch the water. Pull the small black hose from the door and let the water drain into the container. You can now open the drain pump to clean it out. Also clean the pump rotor at the back of the pump housing. Replace the drain cover and reconnect the drain hose securely back to its position on the door. Close the cover.

F4 indicates a problem with the water inlet valve. Make sure the water supply is fully turned on. If no water enters the machine, then turn water supply off. Disconnect the hoses from the water inlet valve to see if the strainer in the inlet connection is blocked. Reconnect the hoses and turn on water supply. Hopefully this solves your problem.

The water pump drain motor has something stuck in it or it has gone bad like most LG parts.
Remove the drain pump and look for any foreign object to be removed.
Check the drain pump for a failed pump motor.

Washing machine will not drain. water wont drain

If your washer won't drain, check these:

It spins, but doesn't pump
It doesn't spin or pump
It pumps, but the water returns
It spins, but doesn't pump If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

It doesn't spin or pump If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it.

It pumps, but the water returns If the water that pumps out of the machine goes back into the machine after the spin cycle, your washer may be siphoning the water from a laundry tub that has a slow drain, back into the washer. The usual remedy for this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is something stuck in the drain?) Also, check for these problems:

  • If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess.

  • If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

Water does not drain out from my washer

I have determined one of the reasons ( I feel this is the primary reason) why many BOSCH washing machines will not drain the water, Bosch uses the same drain pump in many of their 500-800 series washing machines, part number 436440. The drain pump is a electrical controlled magnetic driven pump. Simply a electrical current produces an electrical field which a magnet rotates, spinning the pump blades. I have determined that the internal seal on the pump part is allowing water to leak into the magnet area of the pump. This is causing corrosion, and water build up around the magnet, interfering with the magnetic field. How I came to this conclusion. After removing the end of the pump, and allowing the water to drain out, drying out the pump, the pump will work as advertised. But of course the pump cannot be used in this condition. A new pump is required. To determine this yourself, if the machine is not under warranty (good luck getting service). Unplug machine, remove back panel, unplug the drain pump, remove drain pump (separating the drain pump from the large plastic holder, there are three screws holding it to the housing). You can shake the pump, and if water comes out of it this is most likely the problem. Now hook the pump back up to its electrical feed, and place it on a rubber sheet. Set the machine to drain, if the pump attempts to spin then stops, or hums this is the problem.

Kenmore 90 washer won't drain

Check first drain line or water pump to see if they are clogged.
1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).
2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump.
