Fan buttons work the light. Light button does nothing. No button causes fan to operate. What's wrong?

If there are pull-chain switches on the fixture, their operation may have caused remote control to fail. Turn off power at the source, pause for a few minutes, and turn on power. Either fan or light control, or both, may work. If not, you will have to figure out which pull-chain operation makes things right again. To avoid future problems, disconnect the pull chains at the link so only the remote controls operation.

Remote for my hamton bay ceiling fan 70 inch model DL-4109S-01 won't work. How can I get it to work?

first off see if the remote is working
if it is a point in the fan direction is is probably infred operation. to check turn on the camera of your mobile phone and point the remote at the lens
if it is working then a white light will appear on the screen of the phone when you press on the remote on button and disappear when the off button is pressed
if that works then it will be in the receiver in the fan

Omputer turns on but wont boot

1. There is no hard drive or has a bad/failed hard drive
2. There is not OS (Operating System)
3. The Boot manager is corrupted
4. The Bios isn't configured correctly

That is all I can think of with your information.
What does the screen display during the process?
Does the computer make fan, or hard drive noise?
Was it working before?
If so what was the last thing you were doing?

Imac intel 1.83 core duo 2gb ram ,doesnt restart from the desktop screen only by holding the power button.

I assume you mean you want to shut it down if you are expecting the fan to stop. In OS X you need to click the Apple symbol top left and choose "Shut down..." or "Sleep". If you need to force it to shut down (DONT DO THIS ALL THE TIME) then press and hold the power button for more than 5 sec till you hear/see it stop working

P7805u blue screened while i was using it. So i held down power button until it turned off. Rebooted but it freezes on the gateway screen. Can't access bios or boot options. There is also clicking...

You get the blue screen of death because the operating system is not starting up, either because the OS is badly corrupted by virus of some form, or in your case the hard drive has failed (the clicking)
The bios is not the issue. Your best hope is a clean OS install if its a virus and the hard drive is good.

The computer can't find the operating system. It could be a sign of your hard drive failing.
I'd suggest booting up the machine while holding the 'option' key and selecting your startup disc, if that doesn't work, insert the OS installation disc and hold either 'option' to select the startup disc or hold 'c' which will boot directly from the DVD.
Running disc utility and repairing the permissions and verifying the disc MIGHT solve the issue. However usually when the machine can't find the OS it is a sign of hard drive failure.

If the Operating System (OS) is not loading up, then you will have to reinstall it. But in that case, the monitor will show up the initial few screens, required for booting. If the display is not at all coming on, then it may be the RAM, mother board or SMPS. You can't fix it all by yourself, unlike OS. You will have to take it to repair.
Best wishes. Thank You.

What do I do if every time i turn my emac on there is only a flashing file in the center of the screen and no mouse courser

I have a possible solution, but it would be helpful to know what operating system you have on your eMac. Mac OS X is the Mac operating system. Do you have Mac OS X 10.2, 10.3, or 10.4, for example.
Solution:Do you have your system discs for your eMac or an Mac OS X installation disc? You'll need it to fix the problem. Use the newest disc you have.
WARNING: There is a _slight_ risk of loss of your data (pictures, documents, etc.) when reinstalling your operating system. Backing up your precious photos and other documents is critical!

1. If the eMac is on, hold down the power button until it turns off. 2. Turn the eMac while holding down the mouse button. 3. When the CD/DVD drive opens, put the system disc in (use disc #1 if you have more than one disc). 4. Turn the machine off again by holding down the power button. 5. Turn the machine on while holding down the C key on the keyboard to boot from CD (or DVD). 6. Wait until the eMac boots from your system disc. 7. You should see the install screen. There should be an Options button. Click the Options button. 8. One of the choices will be to do an "Archive and Install". Go ahead and do an "Archive and Install", which will reinstall the operating system but leave your photos and other files. See cautions above. **Do _NOT_ click the option to ERASE the hard drive** or you'll lose all your photos, etc. 9. Once it's all done (expect it to take an hour or more), you should be able to use your computer normally.
Good luck. I hope this is understandable. If you need more help, please post again. *Please rate me if this helped.* Thanks!

Macbook turning on difficulties.

Try these steps:

1.) With the machine OFF, hold down a SHIFT key and power the machine on. Continue holding SHIFT for about a minute. This is called Safe Mode. This will test your disk, clear caches, and disable extensions. It probably will take longer to load.

2.) If your Mac boots all the way to the Desktop normally, click the Apple menu (top, left corner of screen) and click "Shut Down".

3.) Once it has shut down, wait a few seconds and power it back on (NO SHIFT key this time).

4.) If it boots, it should be okay. If not, you may have to reinstall your operating system.

To Reinstall Mac OS X: WARNING: There is a _slight_ risk of loss of your data (pictures, documents, etc.) when reinstalling your operating system.

1.) You'll need the system disc(s) that came with your Mac. Put disc 1 (if there are more than one) into the drive. Hold down the power button to turn the machine off if necessary. Put the disc in and turn it on *while holding down the C key* (to boot from "CD" -- actually DVD). Look for an "Options" button, depending on which version of Mac OS X you have. Click it. Select "Archive and Install" and follow the prompts. (If you have 10.6 "Snow Leopard", you won't find an "Options" button. It will "Archive and Install" automatically.

2.) Once you have reinstalled the operating system, it should start normally.

Good Luck! Please let us know if you continue to have problems.
