Hay everyone my friend has a goodmans 15 inch tv with built in free view, during install the free view will not find any channels, the ariel is new. I have attached another freeview box between the aerial and tv which works fine. The internal digital channel unit doesn't seem to be working....help. Normal tv channels are working but we'll lose them soon and was wondering if anyone else has had the same fault?

Refer its service manual and make a factory reset to it. To downlaod the service manual, google it with its brand name. I don't think there will ba a free download site for this brand TV. All download sites will be paid.
You could try operatingguides.com if you need a user manual or servicemanuals.co.uk if you want the schematics etc We've used them in the past and found them very good. Also if it is not listed then ask via the link and they will probably be able to get it for you.
The Antenna may be in a weak signal area heres a quick cheap fix Get a Freeview Box and connect it via SCART LEAD to your tv, if the Box picks up a good signal then your tuner may be very weak.. You may want to try a BOOSTER to the TV first, and if that fails go with an external freeview. My neighbor has a 42 and the freeview box WITHOUT an antenna attached resolves all the channels..so give that a try. I have a goodmans too with a slow tuner and I have to retune it sometimes even though it gets a good signal from the antenna. I will be getting an external tuner freeveiw box.
Very likely that where you are the over the air signals are now broadcast in digital format and you need to by a converter box to use an older television. Check places like Walmart or Best Buy or Radio Shack
You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information http://www.freeview.co.uk/_retuneinfo/ If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box. Will the TV go to channel 3? if not you need to reporogram the TV to sence channel 3 or go into the setup and undelete channel 3. Channel 3 is the channel your digital box is set to boradcast to the tv itself.
