Monitor comes on for a few seconds and then goes out
When I turn on my monitor, it comes on for a few seconds on then goes out. If I turn it off and then back on it does the same thing over and over. I have tried a different monitor just to be sure it was not my video card and everything works with a different monitor. The power light stays on but no picture. Does this sound like it is the power inverter. If so is this something I can replace myself?

Thank you for answering those questions. That usually indicates it has a bad power inverter. From what i can tell, that monitor is a few years old. You can attempt to find an inverter online to replace it yourself (usually about $50 if you can find one) since its no longer covered under warranty, or put that money into getting a new monitor.
The picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes
off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the
board of your monitor has developed fault.
The best thing for you
do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer or service center
within your vicinity
to help with the replacement of the picture board
because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to
Sounds like a bad solder joint on the printed circuit board. Once it heats up then it no longer makes good contact and the monitor goes black until it cools down and makes contact again. You could resolder it if you knew where it was but monitors are dangerous to go playing around with as they can hold very high charges of electricity in their capacitors that are very dangerous. It's a throw away world. Go buy a new one.
Hi , The monitor flicker problem. The monitor when turn on will display image for couple of second then turn black. The monitor status led is still green. This will happen each time it is turn on. The symptom at appear to come from the inverter board.
