Leak from hose that connects the dispenser to the tank

Second time that the rubber hose which connects the Quick and hot tank to the dispenser has leaked.  Plumbing company has cut hose and reattached, but has said there is no more hose to cut, and of course it is leaking again.  It appears that the hose is actually melting.  I believe that I had a 1 year warranty on the product which was installed in April of 2006.  The plumber indicated that I need a new hose and parts to reconnect.

this is happening to me. i am running out of hose to connect. is there any thing that can be done?

I cpuldnt figure out the leak till I noticed a TINY hole on the hose. Called the plumber to replace and he said this is the firts hot water tank he saw with a SOFT hose. The hot water melt the hose. Most hot water tanks have a hard black hose that can withstand the hot water.

Lowering the temp makes no sense since the enitire purpose of the unit is to provide very hot water. The manufacturer has a "permanent" repair kit (using a different hose) for about $25. You can reach them at 1.888.222.9140

Sunbeam hot/cold water dispenser is leaking from looks like copper tubing that goes to tank. Model # ylr-5-87h3 what could my problem be

Broken solder connection.
Continual expansion and contraction of metal due to hot and cold extremes will cause metal fatigue. The most vulnerable place is at the join. Other places can fail, but usually the solder join will fail first.
Buy another one and support economy.
Make sure next unit is connected to cold water line, and not hot water line. If hot water dispenser is connected to Hot line, then it will cause water heater to run each time water is drawn through dispenser because cold water immediately enters tank.

You might also consider installing small tank under counter. Tanks are less glamorous than hot water dispensers but tanks are more reliable long term than instantaneous water heaters.

Water leaking from bottom of quick and hot dispenser only 18 mos old

I had the same problem. There is a 2 piece metal tank inside. The top and bottom of the tank are connected with screws & nuts, and there is a rubber o-ring between the two pieces. The grove for this o-ring is very shallow and it doesn't fit tightly, increasing the probability of misalignment during the assembly process. I was unable to fix the leak, IMHO the grove is too shallow and the o-ring is not thick enough. I decided it was poorly designed & trashed the unit.

Leak from hose that connects MT641 Heating Tank to Dispenser

It may be a push n lock. If you can send a pic of your phone vam, send one and we can see what's needed. Co7196@yahoo.com. If its a push n lock, While pushing on the line push in the smaller inner sleeve and pull on the line. Make sure there is not pressure in the line.

New Westbrass water dispenser does not have the lines marked "red" or "blue" as described in the directions.

This faucet is the hot only version so it has two copper lines and one Santoprene rubber line. The copper line directly under the handle is the inlet from the wall - the second copper line attaches to the hot water tank by the corner. The Santoprene line attaches to the middle of the hot water tank. This faucet cannot be installed without the hot water tank.

Hot water tank leak

drain valve must have already been leaking, that's why someone put the cap on. It's ok to cap the drain but never the pressure/temp relief. If the water is coming out of the drain (not around it) you could either replace the cap or the drain valve to stop the leak - otherwise it's time for a new water heater.

Slow leak drips from bottom of 4 year old model

Hi

Please try and remove the cap by turning it clockwise and counter clock wise to remove it. If it doesn't come off then empty the water dispenser and use glue to fix the leak. See this link to see which type of glue should be used--- Glue Usage

Instant hot water dispenser does not heat water.

I had the exact same problem. I even replaced the first unit with a second unit...because I was sure I hooked everything up correctly. Then I called their support line and and felt very stupid. They asked one question "are you plugging in the Quick&Hot into the same electrical outlet as the garbage disposal"?. I said yes..and the garbage disposal works fine (thinking that this indicates a good electrical outlet). She then said "That outlet works off of a switch so no electricity is getting to the Quick&Hot until the disposal is turned on). Gosh darn it...that made total sense. I then tested this out by plugging an extension cord into a different outlet and it worked fine. Boy...do I feel stupid. Hope this helps.
