try to reinstall the firmware or uppgrade it search on google for infomation it should go preatty fast
if that don´t wotks well then i don´t know what´s wrong :(

Go throught this page
Your ipod might need to be repaired, the apple service assistant is on the bottom.
Might be a loose connection or other failing component I don't think there is no quick fix for this.
If the problem is solved dont forget to rate as fixya otherwise there is no need to rate it. As there is noting else we could do about it.

Try reseting it, hold down the "Menu" button and the Middle button for about 7-8 seconds. if that doesn't work then try restoring it, plug it into your computer, open iTunes and select your device, now click "Restore." This will take a few minutes.
