oh yeah, and its a custom computer. built most of it myself. no HUGE problems before, nothing like this. but its that motherboard and a p3 cpu, and a crappy 16mb matrox video card. but other then that, not much else i can say.

i have a p3 asus cusl2-c motherboard with a 800 MHz cpu and 256 Mb Ram. Two days ago, first time, it could turn on for a few seconds and then off itself. Each time, i have the same situation.I removed all adds-on boards and tried to turn on.But, i have the same problem of turning on-off itself. I have also checked my VGA board, cpu and RAMs on the other p3 mother board and found all working well.I also checked my Power supply on the computer and measured all voltages correct.(+12 V, 3.3 V, 5 V etc) Could you give me some ıdea of what i can do more for solution ? pls.

Can you give me the beeps explanation. All computers have a standard "beep code" this is a standard code to determine the problems in boot up. Long beeps, short beeps, intermittent beeps all mean something. Can you give me your best definition of the beep codes ? long, short, quick successive beeps etc also can you give the nake and model of the computer.

I have mb-msi2000-815e pro ver1, it is constantly beeping. change the memories, agp,, but it still continues.what could be wrong/

1.Your first step is to look at the information about the meaning of the beeping codes. Beep codes are important and useful tools when troubleshooting booting issues. When you turn on your computer system, it is called POST (Power On Self Test).

2.No beep is usually a power problem that can be related to the power supply, motherboard or both. Always check your battery power before thinking there is a bigger problem.

3.One beep is a normal POST. That means everything is fine.

Two, Three, or Four short beeps are normally about the memory of the machine. If there is a problem with one of your memory chips you should get beeps of different combinations in this area. If you get two or three short beeps, one or both of your memory chips could be in trouble.

4.Five beeps point toward motherboard or CPU problems. Make sure your memory and video card are seated properly. Try removing them and putting them back in, only if you are comfortable with computers.

Six, seven and eight beeps.

Eight beeps indicate problems with your video card. Six or Seven are CPU, or a bad chip on the motherboard.

Nine beeps mean the BIOS is bad. Replace the motherboard.

Ten beeps means the problem is in the CMOS. All chips need to be replaced.

5.Eleven beeps are related in the cache of the mother board and this means that the motherboard needs replaced.

One long and three short beeps mean that it is related to a loose memory chip. Try reseating it.

One long and eight short beeps means that the video cards needs reseated.

6.I hope that this list of beep codes will help settle the panic you feel when your computer is sick. If all fails, Then you inform me

Computer moniter goes black but CPU is but not functioning

1. power-off your computer. unplug video and power cables. remove your video card hardware from its slot and plug it back in. put the video and power cables back. power on your computer. try this up to 3 times until your system is back to normal. it will be best if it works your first try. if it doesn't consider changing you video card.

It doesn't turn on.

Here is the manual for it http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock370/815ep/cusl2-c/cusl2c-104.pdf Usually the light should stay on when its on and off when off, typically if it flashes, the powersupply itself is shutting off and coming back on. I would replace it first and go from there becaquse these LED's dont have a flash feature for this mobo.

Hello, find the BIOS Beep Codes at http://www.amptron.com/html/bios.beepcodes.html and try to find your problem. It is not a software or Monitor problem. It could be RAM or Video Card failure
