How do I cancel my Yahoo account?

I would like to withdraw from Yahoo. Since I signed on, I have been getting bombarded with spyware and spam, despite my firewall and antivirus protection. Sorry, Yahoo is just too open to computer fraud and attacks.
Please just tell me how to withdraw and remove all yahoo software.
Thank you.

Delete Account in yahoo

https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user

In windows operating software go to add/remove programs and delete all yahoo related software. Run a software like glary utilities (http://www.glaryutilities.com/) (freeware) to remove all broken link registry keys.

How do I get my email addresses off of a blacklist?

Firstly, change your password on both accounts, as both accounts may be compromised, secondly run a virus/malware scan on all your devices that you use to access these accounts (avast for virus scan, unless you already have an up to date anti virus installed. Malware bytes for Malware and maybe a scan with super anti spyware wouldn't go amiss). After you have done all of this then you can start looking into why your accounts are flagged as spam. It could be the IP address that your Internet provider has given you has previously been flagged as a spamming IP Address, try turning your router off for about 20 minutes so when you turn it back on you get a new IP address and try again then. As an individual user there is not much more you can do apart from contacting google and Yahoo, they both have forms online (a little tricky to find) that you can fill in to ask to be removed from the blacklist. It may be prudent to have a look at the goole terms for bulk sending as well to make sure you are not falling fowl of googles t&c's. Hope that helps.

Cancel account and automatic withdrawal

Cancel your account with whom? FixYa is a free service and doesn't automatically withdraw from your bank or credit card account.
To cancel your account with another company, contact that company. FixYa cannot cancel an account you have with an unnamed company. If you require further assistance, please add a comment to this question and specify the company or service you want to cancel.

I wish to terminate my yahoo account

If you want to close your Yahoo! account, you can follow the steps on the Account Termination page.
You will be asked to sign in or to verify the password for the account you want to delete.
Note: Before deleting your account, please read the instructions on the Account Termination page carefully, as important information about your account is included. You can then confirm the deletion of your account.
Important:
  • Please complete the deletion process only if you are certain you want to remove your entire Yahoo! account and any features you have personalized within the account. After you delete your Yahoo! account, you can't reactivate it, although you can always sign up for a new account.
  • When you close your account, you lose access to your Yahoo! ID, Yahoo! Mail, and profile names. We will delete your account data and settings across the Yahoo! network. This means you will lose all of your content in:

    Yahoo! Mail

    Yahoo! Address Book

    Monster+HotJobs

    My Yahoo!

    Yahoo! Groups

    Finance Portfolio

Any other area of Yahoo! that can only be accessed with your Yahoo! ID and password
  • Deleting your Yahoo! account does not alter or delete your Yahoo! People Search listing. You must edit or delete this separately.
  • If you are subscribed to any premium services, we recommend that you cancel them before you delete your account. There is no guarantee that deleting your Yahoo! account will immediately cancel the billing for any premium services you are subscribed to. To cancel your current subscriptions, visit Yahoo! Billing Information for your account, click My Services, and then click the Cancel link for each subscription.
Using an older version of Internet Explorer or Firefox subjects your PC to more vulnerabilities, viruses and spyware. To ensure you're protected, we recommend downloading a Yahoo! optimized version of Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox today.

I hope this helps.

I have some hack or virus that is sending emails from my yahoo account to my contacts with a link to a canadian company selling viagra and cialis, etc.. I want to stop this from happening...

Recently spam hackers have been hijacking Email accounts to use for their own dirty deeds and scams. The best thing to do is to deactivate your Yahoo account and make a new one.

Click here to go to the Yahoo compromisation web site and follow the instructions to disable your account.

The reason deleting the account is because these spam hackers are sending unwanted advertising to all your contacts claiming to be you. As far as you know they might even be sending emails to all your contacts asking for money.
There was a recent scam where spam hackers hijacked this lady's account and sent a message to all her contacts that she was stuck in Namibia and needed money to be sent to a specified account to get home.

To stop it, delete your email account, or if you are able to regain access, change your password to something a little more complex and define for yourself a few security questions only you would know. Another thing is just to contact all the people you had in your contacts and tell them that you account has been compromised and that they must ignore any emails received from it.

Spam email

I would doubt that it's real. Have you forwarded it to Yahoo for their opinion? it sounds like a Phishing email. If you have virus protection in place you are probably OK. To be sure I would do a full scan of your system and if you have it, run a anti-spyware program. I like Spybot Search & Destroy.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa

I am being harrhassed by my mail delievery system

Start by scanning for spyware or malware try using Adware, or Spybot search and destroy both free programs just google them.

- You may have to start a new account if you don't want to keep getting bombed with spam. Use that email for just registering on websites. Your spam is probably the result of a spy-ware infection..
