Paper jam pixma MG6120

Paper tore during removal small piece left in printer in area of printer heads

  • Anonymous Sep 18, 2012

The piece of paper is approximately 21/2" by 4" of the right leading edge of a 81/2" by 11" sheet. The paper must have curled because it backed up against the discharge slip. I removed the rest of the sheet but can not see the piece. The error code is C000. The ink cartridges block all view of the piece. Is there any way of getting this piece of paper out?.

SOURCE: 'paper jam' error on canon pixma ip4300

Hi guys, I eventually found a solution to the problem for my printer. With the top cover open, I pushed a sheet of 120 micron thickness A4 clear plastic binding cover through the exit tray as far as it would go to rest against the bottom row of rollers. I switched the printer off then back on again and as the rollers lifted momentarily, I pushed the sheet of plastic as far up through the machine as I could before the rollers went down again - it went in a fair distance. The printer then ejected the plastic sheet. I then put the plastic sheet into the paper tray and tried to print a blank document page. The plastic fed through cleanly and my printer has been working since without any error messages. I hope this works for you.

SOURCE: Loose screw jamming paper in Canon Pixma MP530 printer

Go buy a magnetic retriever from your local hardware shop they are very cheap.

Make sure you get a slim version

Either that or turn the printer upside down and get someone to whack it on the bottom with the palm of their hand as you hold it

What goes in must come out

SOURCE: Printer is saying there is a paper jam in the paper output slot.

Pixma MX860. Got a "Paper output slot. The paper is jammed. Clear the paper and press OK" message. This happened out of the box new. The solution was the replacement of the printer. Cannon is sending a tested model and providing return postage to return the defective unit.

Canon Pixma MX410. PAPER JAM PRINTER ERROR, always getting a paper jam error.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to Pixma MX410.

Unplug the machine. Remove paper trays. Open all the doors, slide the carrier and remove the cartridges' and print head. Use a flashlight and look for a small piece of torn paper. Clean the rubber feed roller with a soapy cloth. Replace the paper with new from an unopened pack as what you have may be damp. Put it all back together and try again.

That's better Patricia :>D

With my Pixma, I remove the print head and run hot water through it until it runs clear. Then blot with kitchen towel and do it again until almost no ink comes through and the towel is clean.

PIXMA 450...Keep getting paper jam message and I can't see any paper bits anywhere. Trying to open the machine from the back to look inside. Have removed the 4 screws on the back and still can't remove...

Hi

The paper jammed can be found in the paper tray, remove the paper at the paper tray and inspect the roller for small pieces of paper jammed.

The paper can be found in the ink cartridge compartment, open the cartridge door and remove the ink cartridges, look for posibble paper jammer. Also once remove, check also the cartridge carrier if does not stuck up or jammed (cause this might me the problem). Turn off your printer and then move the cartridge head using your hand moving to the from right to left side and from left side to right side for 2-3 times. Move it gently.

Paper can be found in the rear access door if it is accessible. Inspect some paper jammed there.

Please let me know if you need more help

The paper had jammed when i was printing, i removed the jammed paper and tried printing again. however, the display on the printer shows paper jammed. what now?

You may have left behind a tiny piece of paper that tore off your sheet as you removed it. Make sure that you have all of the jammed paper and look carefully for any remnants inside. Look to see if the printer did not pick up a second sheet that is still in the system somewhere.

Rec. Paper Jam slide platen left

There may still be a small sliver of paper somewhere along the paper path. It only takes one small piece to interfere with the mechanism that detects jams and causes the copier to stop working. Since the copier gives you an indication of where the jam is occurring, I would focus my attention in that area, removing trays, using a small flashlight to get a really good look inside.

Had paper jam. Now PIXMA IP5000 shows service error 6A00 and light alternates between green and orange 12 times. Have tried unplugging, turning off, etc.

Print head might be stuck. Try opening the lid and sliding the cartridge tray over to the left. Check to make sure there is no piece of paper left jamming it. While you are at it, clean the base pad by dabbing with a piece of paper towel to remove excess ink. You may also want to remove the Print head itself and then reattach. Make sure there is no gunk buildup. Hope this helps.
