Sansa E260 - can't get video to load

I have tried to load movies with no sucess. The closest I felt I got was downloading space chimps (avi file) to my desktop. I used the the Sansa media converter to add media. When I clicked convert it gave me this error message. "The current sansa player does not support video file. You need to download QT from the following web page. www.intervideo.com/jsp/oem/RSdownload.jsp?p=sansa". This page would not come up.

What do I need to do to get videos on my e260

The Sansa Media Converter only supports some video files. For example, it supports MP4 files. To find out what kind of file your video(s) is/are, right click your video and go to properties. Look for the file type and you'll see what it is. MP4 in short is also called MPEG - 4. If you use Quicktime, it is called MPEG - 4 Movie. To find out what video files the Sansa Media Converter supports, you should turn on the converter and look for the details in it. I'm sure you'll find it.

Even if it works, the files are split into a few clips and sometimes, they corrupt!

The Sansa can play most video files: AVI, MPG, etc. You'll have to use the supplied Sansa Media Converter program to convert them, however.

You have to download a free program such as Riva FLV Encoder first, and use it to convert your Real/Winamp videos to AVI format. Once they are in AVI format, the Sansa Media Converter will recognize them.

I can put videos or pictures on it says it has worked but when i turn it back on it iisnt on there } plz Help

You must use the Sansa Media Converter to transfer videos. If the video is DRM-protected (many of Real's movies are), it may not actually convert. But if the video is DRM-free, then the Sansa Media Converter will perform the conversion and load the video onto the player. The Sansa Media Converter may or may not recognize certain file formats, so you may need to download an additional program such as Riva FLV Encoder to convert the Real video to AVI format first - then the Sansa Media Converter will recognize the file.

My media converter wont send videos or pictures to my sansa view.

The Sansa e260 only supports their video format, did you convert it to that format before trying to load it? You can find the converter here, on the right side of the page - http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_e200/faqs
