I replaced the 6301 diode and put the G board back in and now the TV isn't giving me the 9 blink error code anymore and I think it starts up just fine.

If it is Sony KP-46WT510 model then 9 times blink shows error is sound section.

Possible causes are as follows...

+19 and -19 volts missing on A & B boards.
IC708 is defective on A board.
PS701 & PS702 (pico fuses) are open in A board.

Let me know if problem doesn't solve.

It has to be power supply most likely stand by supply. I would check the regulator transistors first along with the horizontal out put transistor. Your set isnt going into protective shutdown so it has to be something in stand by or the start up circuits.

The diagnosis of Nine blinks - Replace D 6116 and D 6301 on the "G" board, do not resolder as this will fix the problem temporary. Or Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing, then change the switching regulator on the "G" board or check connections. Make sure the regulator is -12 or -13 (negitive).

If this is hebrew for you, I suggest you take the television to a repair professional, if you are going to repair this yourself do at your own risk I suggest you get your hands on a service manual for help in the repair process.

My Sony WEGA 60" rear projection tv will turn off then back on and during this cycle the standby light flashes. please help.

Standby light flashing indicates that a problem is occurring. The exact count of the flashes between pauses will tell a service shop what is happening. This could be the lamp shutting down due to overheating. Dust buildup inside the lamp-based projection TVs is an issue.
Overheating will destroy your $250+ lamp. I suggest you call an authorized service center and tell them the count of the standby light flashes (usually between 1 and 9 flashes)

Tv wont power up Standby light keeps flashing.

First step in any Sony LCD projector repair is bulb or lamp replacement. Fixes 95% of problems.

Taking apart and trying to measure things without a known good bulb is a waste of time and effort.

Tv went off while watching a program power standby red light blinks 6 times then pauses then repeats tried unplugging unit waiting a few minutes then replugged same results nothing. can anyone help me ?...

Here's an excerpt from the Sony Manual online. And the link - http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/webtree.pl?template=EN&mdl=KDF55XS955&content_id=68&category_id=11&problem_id=52

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes three times
If your power/standby indicator is flashing in a pattern of three flashes, this may indicates that the lamp cover is not attached securely. Follow the directions in the Operating Manual under changing your lamp that related to closing and securing the Lamp Cover. Ensure that the Lamp Cover Door is securely fastened by tightening each screw.

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes continously
If your power/standby indicator is flashing continuously, and the lamp cover has been secured, your TV may be in need of service.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up green (not flashing)
A sustained green light indicates your TV is on.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up red (not flashing)
A sustained red light from your power/standby indicator simply indicates that your TV is in standby mode. This shows you that your TV is ready to be turned on with the remote.

Is it the power light and not the lamp light? If the lamp light is flashing then replace the lamp.

Remotes can be ordered from various websites, I would check ebay, sony, those type of websites. The standby light flashing means your bulb on the TV needs to be replaced.
