Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
When watching a movie, my BD remote will stop responding and the game controllers will no longer work either. The green light on the console will flash. And the only way to get it to do anything is to turn off the Main power switch on the back. I've moved it to a more ventilated location but that doesnt seem to affect it. ?????
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Ps3 Region codes
I have searched the web extensivley around the same question, looking for a region code hack for PS3 Blue Ray disc movies but I have found none.
My conclusion, the hack does not yet exist or is not widely known.
Also the problem with whatever hack if it is written, if you put your PS3 online to enjoy the great benefits of online gaming, Sony can easily close the security hole exploited by the hack with an online download or firmware upgrade.

If your TV has a 120 mhz setting, turn it off. My blu-rays (and some regular DVDs) were having problems as well, but this solved it. Basically, the 120 mhz setting is just too good, even for a PS3.
The setting may have other names, but whatever it's called on your TV, it's responsible for providing extra scaling/processing from the source (your PS3).
Also, make sure your PS3 is NOT set to double-scale. "Normal" is just fine.
