Sony RM-ASP001 is not working and other sony dvd control not working either

Try the command code switch. I recently had a similar problem when my remote suddenly stopped working. It worked fine one time but nothing the next time I tried it.

I checked the emitter with a digital camera and found it was not working. I did the remote reset (remove batteries and push all the buttons twice, reinsert batteries) and the emitter was now working. However, the remote would still not control the base unit. I did the remote base code reset (push power, volume and TV/DVD buttons together) but this did not help. I then checked the command code switch. This is a small three position slide switch located in the battery compartment on the remote. I slid the switch back and forth several times returning to the default number one setting where it was before. I did not change anything on the base unit but the remote now worked.

the codes are 051     060      069      
1 turn on dvd
2 press and hold s button
3 whilst holding s button press and release power button
4release set button
5 press dvd on controll
6 using key pad key in the 3 digit code
7 press enter button
8 point remote at dvd and try power button
9 if nothing work enter next code
if this still dont solve your problem post back and i will tell you how to do this manually hope this is some help

& from what im seeing there isnt a code for a LG under DVD

You can try codes for LG that are under CD but dont know if that will work.
