Ok I just bought this humidifier about 6 weeks ago...the problem seems to be the humidy level in the house says always LOW...I would of thought by now it would shut off and be ok. I have the humidy level setting at like 40%. I think right in the beginning it did shut off for a few hours. DO YOU THINK SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH IT...

- My humidistat has never gone above 22% though I have the fan on high and the water level in the tank goes down. I've tried a few different parts of the room and follow instructions for it to be placed at least 6 inches away from the wall. It is in an average sized bedroom-and the door is closed. I'm ready to return it, but hope I can get some help - Barbh724Solution #1

if you are constantly heating the house, your heter element in the furnace is drawing in and drying out the air you are humidifying. Heat the house, and then turn on the humidifier while the heater is not running. Is your humidifier able to do your entire house (whole house) or just a small room unit?
