Question about Samsung L100 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Windows Vista I am unable to load the program to view my pictures on my computer. It tells me the drive or something is incompatible. Is there a download that will work with Windows Vista, and if so, where do I find it. Thanks so much.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I Have taken pictures with the camera , after it saves it keeps telling me photo error , im trying to recovery images i have taken , and they are unable to view and when i copy them to my pc , windows says...

Your pictures may be corrupted. You can recover those corrupted pictures with this
1. Do not save any new pictures into the memory card of your camera.
2. Insert the memory card into a card reader. Connect it with computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is Tenorshare Data Recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)

4. Install and open the program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

The software that came with the camera for downloading photos will not upload on my PC. After a couple of hours of supposed downloading, it tells me that the application failed. WTH???

There must be some type of program incompatibility, I feel your frustrations. Generally these programs load in about five minutes tops unless you are using a PC that's more then five years old or working with Windows 95. If you are working with a PC and Windows XP or newer then there should be no problem unless you have run out of available Hard Drive memory or the ram is full which I doubt. Do you have pictures on a memory card in the camera? If so and you are working with XP turn off the camera off, plug the USB cable into the PC and then the camera make sure no other program is working and turn on the camera make sure you have sufficient power in the camera. A little banner may appear saying found new device and then load the picture files as a folder to the desk top or may need to look into systems to find the folder it should show as an external device or hard drive. in that folder is your pictures. Make a folder in your "My Documents" and then you can copy past the pictures files into the new folder. Once on the computer Hard Drive do a safely disconnect device and remove the USB cable from the computer and camera then format the camera Memory Card. The pictures in the new file you created on the computer can be opened in a program called "Paint". That'll get you going until you either get the camera programing installed or purchase a real Image program like Adoby PhotoShop Elements or larger but Elements is great for a beginner heck I still use it when I want frames and stuff.
Hope this was a help Robert in Canada

I am unable to run agfa photowise on windows 7

Windows 7 seems to have made alot of older programs incompatible. Sad because Photowise is my alltime favorite easy program for editing and albums. I still have Vista and it will accept it,

Unable to unload pictures from camera to computer

I've never used a "program" to download my photos, and I've been able to download them on any computer whatsoever. Plug the mini-B into the camera, then plug the USB into your desktop while it is off. Turn the camera on with the switch in View mode. Turn your computer on. Go to Windows explorer or My Computer. Your camera should show up as if it were a data drive with an icon of a camera. Double click that icon and you can view photos at will. Right click any photo to save, or use pull down menus above to save multiple photos at once to other drives.

Make sure you have completely uninstalled AOL, as this can still cause certain problems. When you connect your cam you should be able to view pics within Windows my pictues and should ask to import files. It should also show up in my computer as a drive if it's recognised by windows, if so you can explore it and open the folder with pics in
