Question about Powermatic 15HH 15" Deluxe Planer w/ Byrd Shelix Cutterhead 1791213

1 Answer

Planar adjustment loose

My powermatic 15" planar does not hold a parallel line. That is when you run stock through the machine the vibration causes the table to open as the wood moves through. Therefore I get a cut the is correct at the front and opens up increasingly towards the back. The locking wheels at the back of the machine no longer lock the table in place.

Vangard model 305447 type 0068 e1 code 05102611 will not say runining on rough ground

It can be several problems. It might be that the carburator is loose and when it shakes over rough ground it is sucking air and stalling. If it is something else you might try rubber mounts under the engine to take the vibrations out of it. Also check for loose wires.... there may be a wire grounding out when you travel over rough ground. look for loose connections or frayed wires that might touch metal and cause a ground

If wheel lug nuts are not torque'd properly how long would it take for them to loosen and fall off, in mileage?

First it would depend on how much they were torqued and the road conditions. The driver side lugs would loosen up first since the lugs turn left to loosen as the car moves forward the lugs will come loose where as the passenger side would tighten a little on there own since moving forward turns the lugs to the right causing them to tighten. If the lugs do come loose your car will start vibrating real bad.It would probably take no more than about 10 to 15 miles like I said depending on road conditions and speed.

WB-37 tracking

Has the "crowning " on the drive roller been worn away . That is the slight barrel shape of the roller . It is that which keeps the belt tracking so I would look at that first.
als try the tension as any trace of belt slip will cause the belt to de track.

Putting chain on saw

I am assuming your saw has an outboard clutch (most Macs do).
Please see page 16 here:
It is possible to install it backward look colsely at the orientation in the second illustration from the bottom, left column.
New chains stretch Please for your safety watch it and tighten when needed.
Chain Adjustment
  1. Make sure the chain brake is off (gloves will protest your fingers).
  2. If necessary, loosen the bar nuts that are clamping the clutch cover in place (or whatever holds the clutch cover and bar on). They do not need these really loose - finger tight will do.
  3. Ease the tension adjustment until the chain is obviously loose.
  4. Using one hand, hold the nose of the bar up.
  5. While holding the nose up, adjust the tensioner so that the center of the chain just touches the underside of the bar, add a touch more.
  6. Continue holding the nose of the bar up & tighten up the bar nuts / bolts / quick-release system. HTH

Y 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport A/C belt always come loose what is the cause of that please''

The tensioner pulley bracket has an adjustment bolt to set the tension, and it has a bolt through the middle of the pulley that locks the pulley in place once it is tight. I suspect that the adjustment bolt backs out from engine vibration and the center bolt is not tight. Set the belt tension where you want it then use a 14 mm to tighten the pulley center bolt and you should never have the problem again. Same thing backwards, if you need to change the belt later, you will have to back off the center bolt before being able to loosen the tensioner bolt etc..

14 hp briggs runs fuel filter dry every 15 minutes. have to blow into fuel tank to fill filter up then it runs for a while again. whats up ?

Sounds like the tank is not venting. Try leaving the cap a little loose and see if it stays running. If it does, either the vent for the tank or a vented gas cap is plugged

From cleaning the sand paper with rubber cleaning mat. has caused the feed rollers to become caked up with that rubber from the cleaning pad

Try blowing it off with compressed air. If that won't do it, you may be able to take off the belt, and actually use the eraser to erase the drums.
Failing that, I would explore denatured alcohol and a rag or brush.
Best to blow the rubber away before it has a chance to get caked on...but you already know that now.
Hope this helps!
