I just received this camera at Christmas. It worked fine for two days and now it turns off just a second after I turn it on. Batteries are good.

My co-worker brought me a C913 with the same problem. I took out the batteries, took out the SD card, played with the buttons... nothing. A web search was unfruitfull. For fun, when I turned it on, I grabbed and held the lens. The camera turned off but the lense stayed out. I turned on the camera, the lense stayed out and the camera WORKED! I turned it off, the lense docked properly. I turned it back on, it worked... Woohoo! Theory: Either the lense was slow at coming (binding) out or was not coming out far enough. The camera shut itself off because it wasn't fully extended in an alloted period of time. Hope it works for you. Glennster™

This was a manufacturing error on certain batches; send it back to the store and they should replace it (providing you haven't ruined the box or lost any of the materials)

Hope that helps :)

My Kodak C913 sometimes follows switch on with the statement memory card needs formatting. I have tried to do this several times but to no avail. I am then faced with a message which says that I should use...

First of all, stop putting your cards in another camera....this can corrupt the card. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. Insert your card, turn on the camera and go into the camera menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Let me know the outcome.

Everytime i turn on the camera it asks me to format the card

Try formatting a card in your computer first (fat32) and try it in the camera. If that doesn't work, it sounds like you have a problem with the card reader in the camera. You would want to call Kodak for repair options.

I have a kodak camera ( C913 ) Ive had it a couple of weeks and now it wont switch on , but it switched on about 2hours ago , What shall i do

This problem is frequently due to weak/worn out batteries or corroded battery terminals inside the camera. If charging/replacing the batteries does not clear the problem, remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth (heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning. Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/repair/troubleshooting/troubleshooting.jhtml?pq-path=6198

It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
