Wii console not working correctly

When you connect to the internet wirelessly and Wii Connect24 your Wii will stay connected and recieve messages, updates, etc. That is why the disk area stays blue and the amber light stays on. Sometimes this will create a power failure. Just unplug your Wii from the wall and let it rest for a few minutes and plug it back in. The problem should be solved.

Wii worked fine yesterday. Will not power up

This is a common problem with the Wii. Considering how often I see this problem, I'm amazed Nintendo didn't address it in their FAQ on the Wii. It happens almost every time there is a power surge or the power goes out, etc.

Even if it's hooked up to a surge protector, this happens. Power comes back on, but the Wii appears dead. It won't turn on, and the LED indicators won't light. If there was a power surge, or the power went out,etc...anything, this will happen. The problem is with the AC adapter, not the Wii itself.

You need to reset the AC adapter to get the Wii to work again. There is a circuit inside the AC adapter that needs to be reset. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall/surge protector outlet. Don't unlpug it from the Wii, it has to be at the outlet. You have to kill power to the adapter.

Unlpug it from the wall/surge protector outlet, and leave it unplugged for 5 or 10minutes. This will kill power to the AC adapter, and give the circuit time to reset. When you plug the adapter back into the outlet after 10 minutes, the red led on the front should be lit up.

My wii will not turn on

try syncing the wii and the remotes. there is a small red button on the wii covered by a small door. and as for the wii remote, there is a small red button where the batteries are located. hold them down for at least 10 seconds i would say and then try turning it on. good luck.

I have had this problem too. Try re-syncing the remotes. If that does not work then try getting a hold of nintendo customer support at: nintendo@noa.nintendo.com
Hope I helped :)

Plez help

Have problem with my 2-month old Wii. Please see whether you can offer any suggestions. My problem is: Red light comes on no problem when power is connected, but when pushing the power button nothing happens - no green light? is this a sync problem? this happened yesterday and i unplugged everything and when reconnected it worked, but not today? have just installed a new tv, could there be interference from the new remote?
