Hi As you say the camera is only a month old it should be under warranty, better advised to take it to the authorized service center. By the way if the smudge is on the LCD then I feel that the LCD is damaged due to pressure or force at that particular spot. Regards. Javeed
Have you tried to turn on the computer without the battery, it could be a shorted (bad) battery... they can prevent the notebook to boot, if the notebook boot's without the battery you need to replace the battery...
In first place you still have the dell warranty because you have use the notebook for only 6 month, but the explanation that states indicates that your machine has a virus, I suggest to take the machine to a rapair shop. Good luck
