If the plug on the dance mat is round, plug it into the side of the Wii in one of the ports pictured below.
Now, if the plug on the mat looks like the one below then you have purchased the Playstation version and it can not be used with the Wii.
Hello. If you have the correct version (people have bought the ps2 version before on accident) here are the directions.
With the console stood upright (with the power button facing you at the top left), lift the flap on the top of the console. You will find the ports under this flap. Plug your mat into Port #1.
Make sure that your Wii is turned off before plugging in your mat. Also, make sure the connection is secure to your console. Then with the game in the Wii, turn on your console. The mat should be recognized at that point.
