Had new wii for Xmas. Playing fine for first 3 hours on bowling. Now, the sensor doesn't seem to pick up the back and forward action. All other buttons work OK and get picked up. Also on mario kart - can only play with nunchuck. Remote in wheel doesn't pick up left and right steering.

Bowling is particularly sensitive to the location of the Wiimote when you start the action, so yes, there is more text than usual. The proper procedure to bowl is:
1) Hold Wiimote up against your chest in a vertical manner.
2) Press and hold the "B" button.
3) While keeping your finger on the "B" button, rotate and stiffen your arm behind you, then rotate forward, releasing the "B" button in stride.
If you wait too long, you will get an error.
If you release the "B" button before you rotate your arm, you will get an error.
You should try to reset the game data by hitting home and rest while playing your game, if that doesnt work go to Wii main menu, THEN hit reset button on the Wii system. And that should do mthe trick it worked for my family!
Have you tried the game settings? There is an option in the wii menu to adjust the wii mote to the sensor bar. Also make sure both are clean.Be sure the sensor bar is centered with the tv,and make sure you have fresh batteries.Hope this helps!
try syncing the remote (under the cover on the back of the wii remote where the battery's are there is a circular red button press it then on the front of the wii where you can put your SD card there is a rectangular button press it if that does not work then try doing it the other way around if that does not work keep trying if that does not work i dont know what will
Have you tried Changing the battery or moving any objects which could be obstructing the path of the remote to the sensor bar. Or maybe try playing from a different positions, these are a few things you could try, sorry if they dont work.
