I tried to download from an at&t "aircard" for the internet everything did it's thing until it was time for the pc to shut down, it wouldn't do it all the way so I manually shut it down, it said there was an error so I did the whole thing again, still the same after the 3rd attempt when it asked for "fix the problem" or start windows as normal, I thought I was still on the fix the problem and now I am unable to log into the computer b/c the mouse pad and key pads will not work....

Found a nice solution at another website: switch off the pc, unplug the power supply cable AND remove battery. Press "on" switch for 20 seconds. Now re-install battery, plug back power supply cable, and switch on. Worked for me (what exactly worked for me I don't know but hey)
i have had three aircards due to many problems including not being able to install the communication manager program from the aircard to not being able to connect to the att network. well, i got a laptop the other day and figured i was going to have problems with the aircard UNTIL i went to the sierra wireless website and did some investigating!! i think the problems lie with the communication manager rather than the aircard itself. >>>download the 3GWatcher program directly from sierra wireless and use that instead of the communication manager. it offers all the same functions and worked right off the bat....i took my laptop with the aircard out on a golf course in the middle of nowhere to test and everything worked beautifully!! i, too, spent many hours on the phone with att....very frustrating! and no reps even suggested that i try the 3GWatcher program...they all blamed the problems on a "bad batch" of aircards.... hmmmmm!! try it, you'll like it!
It is highly unusual for a unit "just out of box" to have problems like these.
Perhaps your best bet is to return it and demand a replacement unit.
Alternately if you would want a temporary work around, try using external keyboard or mouse just to complete the setup (but as said highly unusual. Normally the kb & mouse should have been pre-installed with the initial part of the setup). In some instances, it takes a bit of a time for the necessary drivers to be loaded up for USB kb & mouse.
Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
